Morning peeps!

It's going to be another scorcher today, quite the heat wave around here. I am not complaining though.

Tonight we are going to DH's grandma's for dinner. His aunts are visiting, so that should be fun.

This weekend we are supposed to go to a cottage but not sure because there is rain in the forecast for tomorrow.

Saturday its Keith Urban!

You all have a good one!

Nice and sunny here today, but the pressure has given some of us headaches at work

Meeting the girls for coffee then off to pay for our cruise and do some retail therapy

Good morning. Just got back from dropping bf off at work. Tomorrow is payday woohoo!

Im having a moment this morning and starting to think that something is really wrong with me. My migraines are increasing in frequency and strength, I lost feeling in part of my calf and foot on my left leg, Im seeing spots and my right eye is fuzzy (like looking thru milk film) I swear one day the dr is going to tell me Ive got a brain tumor and noone believed me. LOL Hopefully a nap and some Excedrin will take the worst of it away.

Morning all!!

We had several band of severe thunderstorms move through Wisconsin yesterday. The first was about 3:30 and it was difficult to drive home due to heavy downpour. Another about 7:30 and the last about midnight-that was again heavy rain, lightening and very windy. My rain gauage shows about 2 1/4 inches of rain in about 9 hours. We have gotten about 5 inches of rain in July so far! There is minor flooding all over the place. When I drive to work I'll have to look at the creek that is about 300 ft away from our property. Last night a saw that part of the bank must have washed away as a large tree was leaning in the river.
My veg garden has some wind damage-mainly the corn but I can stand that back up when it dries out tomorrow. Its so odd to see a lush green lawn in middle of July instead of the browning up one!

So work today, then hair cut/color and out to dinner with a couple of friends.

Have a good one...............

Oh hun, I know how you feel, I've had them forever and about 20 minutes before one hits I also get the aura and see the spots, etc. I've tried every perscription known to man, but I find what works for me the best is Aleve believe it or not! Hope you feel better soon.

So yesterday I DID decide to step down as the adoption/foster care facilitator for Cat Rescue Maritimes Saint John. There have been some decisions as of late that I don't agree with, a lot of conflicts of interest, a lot of confusion and it is NOT properly run. I still want to help with fostering and major fundraising, I just can't be in charge of that aspect because I can't deal with the people, the questions they ask that I don't have the answers for because proper policies aren't in place, etc. Not to mention I was kind of being taken advantage of and had NO time for myself. Of course I'm still continuing my work with the local shelter, but I'm telling you, it feels like a huge weight has been lifted off of my shoulders.

We have to go to the shelter after work as one of my fosters, Sebastian, is being adopted and then I hope to get out for a nice evening walk with my hunny.
Have a great day all.

We are at the start of a heat wave, although high 90's not 100's.

I am going to Robert's house (date #5) and making him dinner. Because of the weather patterns in the Bay Area, it is much cooler at his place than mine. It won't be in the 90's there, maybe the 80's.

Here is the menu:

Avocado boats with salsa to start
Chicken with Chipotle sauce
Apple, grape and celery salad
Corn
Plum, Fig and Blueberry Fruit Salad for dessert

Is your mouth watering yet?

Butzie my mouth is certainly watering at the thought of that meal.

So weird being off work , although i am job hunting for work more local and better money! So using my time off to update CV and have a peek at the job ads.

I am sad to say 2 of the 5 kittens Allan had 2 days ago have died
i am so upset. One was dead when we woke up this morning , he had been struggling anyone , floppy and not latching on no where near as strong as the others ect. then allan laid on the other one which died but again this one was not as strong as the others , Allan seems confused so we are just petting her and speaking to her and she seems more content maybe 5 was to much for her i am not sure but it still breaks my heart xx

Thank you...Unfortunately Aleve doesnt do anything for me...Ive gone from taking 2 ibuprofen every couple hours to having to take 5 or more at a time just to touch the start of a headache. Ive had to upgrade to taking about 4 Excedrin Migraine a day. Its a pain but none of the prescriptions Ive ever gotten worked, they just put me to sleep. I keep telling BF one day the dr will tell me Ive got a tumor or something seriously wrong that they never bothered to check for either that or my stomach is going to blow up from all the meds. I just wish it would go away. Right now its down to a dull throbbing pain. Im going to try and super hot shower and laying down but all that will end up doing is making me fuzzy for the rest of the day. Today is just worse that normal and Im not happy about it.

Morning! Another hot one. I really wish it would cool down one day to open the windows for some fresh air.

I never made it to my doctor's yesterday. One of our kitties has an upset tummy so I spent the day cleaning & then we had some shopping to do. I think Spunky is the sick kitty. I have him locked in Mom's room for the day. Hopefully we can figure this out.

DH is taking DS over to his work for a visit. Hopefully I will dye my hair during that time. Usually takes 2 hours start to finish.

I had 3 migraines last week. I haven't had one in a year (I actually posted here last time) since I started the Beta Blocker. I can't tell if it is the weather, hormones, stress or needing an increase in medicine. I was taking 3-4 advils, sinus pill & my Beta Blocker. My headaches aren't bad but the numbness, fatigue and nausea wears me out.

I hope you feel better soon.

I can also sympathize with migraines , i get them quite a lot and take prescribed meds for it but they do not always help x i find dark rooms , cold flannels and fans help

I get migraines, too, and they can be nasty evil things. I hate them with a passion.

We're to be in the 90s today and it's a sunny gorgeous day. Very pretty outside.

We lost the garden battle to the bunnies. They dug under our fencing and pretty much decimated our bean plants. We've one bean plant left. DH has been spraying Liquid Fence around the perimeter of the garden. If I could catch those buggers, I'd make bunny stew and bunny fricassee and grilled bunny and........

Have a good Thursday!

I've lost two kittens in total today
so sad. Allan and the other 3 surviving kittens are doing well and Alan seems more settled.

We had a frog issue earlier , out garden is paved no grass no pond nothing , fenced/bricked in kind of thing. Lola brought the frog in and the kittens who are 7 weeks old started hitting it , so me being wary of these things , tried to deal with it by managing to put it in a box but it jumped out the box and it ran up and down the hallway i locked all the animals out in the end my dad managed to put it in our neighbors garden with nice wet grass
xx lol

Good afternoon everyone.. another hot one here, in an hour or 2 the sun will be westward enough that our apartment will start to become an oven.

3Catsn1dog- sorry your head aches so badly and other parts.. No good! Sounds like you really should see a doctor, taking that much advil or excedrin isn't good for your tummy, as you know, PLUS it can cause rebound headaches and make it worse. A few times a year I will get those super bad headaches (like the one starting last night and I woke up with it worse this morning actually), and I can tell if it's the kind that only a rx Fioricet will help. I finally took one about an hour ago, and I'm starting to feel better, which is good considering I have a big bad business law exam in a few hours.

So that's on the agenda, finish last minute reviewing, then head to school to take my scary exam!! We had 200 practice questions, which I did last night and today, and when I graded myself I got 28 wrong, or an 86%. Not bad, but I hope I do better on the real thing! Wish me luck!

After that, if I'm feeling ok headache-wise, it's Hopheads night, we're meeting at Rock Bottom, the brewpub downtown.
Nice and close. Close for now....

... We got the keys to our house today!!
I'm so excited, it's really for real now! BF and I are going to plan out everything for the move this weekend, and continue with major packing, and hopefully be moved in by the end of July. It's such a cool feeling knowing the house is OURS, and we have more room, we can make it how we want it, we have a yard, and off-street parking... YAY!

Speaking of yards- Winchester- sorry you've been so generous in feeding the bunnies.
I know my mom always has problems with at least some of her veggie plants, but usually only in the beginning of the season. But I know one year they took 1 bite out of pretty much every cucumber she had. She was not happy.

Well, I better get back to the books for a bit. Have a good rest of your day!

There's no place like home
It's just about the hottest day of the year here today, but I stayed inside the house and spent most of the day herding the cats away from the 2 guys that were spraying the knock-down texture on my ceilings. Neither Scarlett or Koko wanted to stay on the outside of the plastic barrier. I didn't want them coming out all white from the plaster. I get to spend the rest of the night cleaning up and putting the beds back together.

But I will take a break sometime and hop into the pool. Can't waste a hot day entirely.

Good afternoon!

Been a hot muggy disgusting day here in SC. Surprised it hasnt started storming yet like it has the last week or so.
Today was free ice cream day at work, yay! I was finally there late enough to get some since they started back up again in May.

Waiting another hour then off to the dealership to wait on my Mustangs arrival on the delivery truck
Tomorrow will be a GREAT day signing on my first (and probably only!) brand new car!

I pretty much wasted today . because i am still feeling rough with this chest infection i am not getting much done , i slept for 3 hours earlier and am wide awake despite that fact it is 20 past midnight here. Its a good excuse to catch up on some reading and write a letter to my pen pal and tidy my room x
