my neighbor was telling me that a lady that was in Iraq, rescued a mommie dog and her puppies and brought them back to the U.S. it cost her around 2 thousand dollars, but i guess the dogs are a rare breed and are pretty expenisve here, did anyone elese hear about this? i also read a article in cat fancy that told about a man that brought back a kitten from over there and he went through a bunch of difffernt things to get it here, but it is doing fine now, i love these kinda stories

I didn't hear of that one but I did hear of a Soldier that bonded with a dog in Iraq. The soldier got shipped back home and was sad he couldn't bring the dog with him. Some Iraqi's kept working on it and finally somehow were able to get the dog shipped to the soldier in the States as a thank you gift.

Only thing I wonder about is, I think animals have to be quarantined for a period of time before they are allowed to enter the U.S.
