Being critical of some of their actions does not mean they have drawn their support from Israel. There are many scriptures in which we are told that it is necessary to support Israel, God's chosen people. Whenever America as a country withdraws it's support of this country "woe unto us." I am sure there are many others here who agree.

That was exactly my point. Why would Obama being critical of Israel's political policies indicate that he was "withdrawing support"?

BTW, God's chosen people are the Jews. Israel is a modern, very diverse nation in Palestine.

The religious identity of the candidate does not make any difference at all when it comes to holding the office. But if a voter wants to consider that, they have every right to.
Right - but this only becomes an issue if we assume he is indeed Muslin, and he lied.... Which really can not be proved thus far.

Well, yes and know, if memory serves. I'm under the impression that he never gave a definitive answer one way or the other, which would mean he didn't lie.

But, I'm sure that not knowing is indeed an issue to everyone that applies importance to the religion of their candidates.

I'm going to bet that many Muslims voted for him hoping that he is, just as many Christians didn't vote for him because they are afraid he is.

So then it should be a problem for the Christians, should it now?

In a way. It's not the fact that any kind of issue actually exists. It is how they perceive it to exist. It's much like so many other things in politics; so much of it only exists in their own minds.

IMO yes it is a problem for Christians if he is more of a Muslim. And in the next year or so, it will be revealed as to why.

Yes, I am very aware that the Jews are God's chosen people. As for Obama, I'm not in that conversation.

Then the fact that almost 30% of Israel's population isn't Jewish, and of the remaining 70 or so %, they are divided between Orthodox, Conservative, Reform, and other beliefs such as Buddhism, Agnosticism, Atheism, Deism, Christianity, None, etc...even Pagan; and the fact that only about 40% of the world's ethnic Jewish population live there, would make the claim that Israel is "God's chosen people" is just, well...wrong.
