Wonder news Eileen - hopefully one of the apps proves to be a good fit!

We have TONS of black kittens & orange kittens, it's insane.....everyone earlier in the summer was looking for orange kittens when we didn't have any.

Fergus is going to his new home this afternoon! I actually know his adopters through a family member who referred them to the rescue. They're a wonderful young couple with three other cats, ages 4, 2, and 7 months. Fergus is about 4 1/2 months old now, so it'll be great for him to have another kitten to play with.

Fergus is now home and we got quite a surprise this afternoon before the adoption. He is a she! There was some confusion when she entered the rescue and the mistake wasn't caught until her medical records were being copied today. Fortunately, the adopters weren't bothered by the gender change!

Guess they could just change her name to be Fergie, but they're going to think about it. I feel bad because I spent six weeks telling her she's a good and handsome little guy. The main thing is that she has a wonderful home and people to love and spoil her.

The rescue got a great update today on our little black kitten. Her adopters have decided to keep the name Fergie. Little Fergie has already made her self at home, sleeps with her people and is becoming buddies with the three bigger kitties in her house.

Thanks so much for the vibes, everybody. You really helped get Fergie home!

What a shame black kitties have a tough time finding homes. He's gorgeous. I was going to go to a shelter and adopt a black kitty when I heard they have low adoption rates but then Fay and Mia found me on their own.

Embarassing admission, I'm glad Mia is white. Otherwise she'd be tripping me constantly in low light.


SHE!! I just saw page 2 when I posted. Good for Fergie.

Yay for Ms. Fergie. Another reason I like black kitties....I like dark clothes like black and brown so white fur is not a good thing LOL.
