Charlie's first vet visit

Thread Starter
My brother (who has decided to adopt Charlie) and I took him to the vet today. He had developed a bald spot on one foot, and I also wanted to get his Felv/FIV test done. The poor thing was so scared, his little legs were shaking while the vet examined him.

The results were that he has earmites and ringworm, but his virus tests were negative. He weighs 1 lb 9 oz. We have to bathe him 3 times a week for the next 3 weeks, for the ringworm - he absolutely hated his first bath.

I've never had to deal with ringworm before. Does anyone have any tips on preventing it from spreading to the rest of the household? Or on helping him recover - any way to build up his immune system against it?

Do a search for ringworm here on the health forum and you'll get LOTS of info.

Glad he's healthy otherwise!
