I had an awful dream last night that Griffin was covered head to toe in mats, and I had to shave him myself. In the dream, I was trying to shave the mats off his face and I accidentally shaved off all his whiskers on the right side. Because of this, he was off balance and couldn't walk straight, and kept veering right and running into walls! Horrible dream, I felt so bad. I was relieved to wake up and find him with all his whiskers still intact!

I've had those kind of dreams before, the worst one was after a Buffy the Vampire slayer marathon, LOL. I dreamed one of my babies turned into a vampire and I had to stake her. Sometimes I wake up looking for Lilly and freaking out because I thought my husband rolled over on her.

I woke up pretty freaked out after, but then I remembered what I had been watching and attributed it to that.

Hi Nina. Last month I had a short nightmare involving an anonymous female cat who was abandoned, then died. A kind human eventually found her body, named her (out of respect), then buried her with a gravestone saying "This is the grave of (cat's name (I can't remember)) ~ R.I.P."

Well, the original person who abandoned the cat found the gravesite, crossed out the word "grave" and wrote "dump"

The person was obviously very evil. Neither human in this nightmare had a face. I don't remember how the cat looked but it was a girl cat. I felt my face tense up and frown while I was sleeping!
I woke up disturbed and even now it bothers me. I have never had a nightmare with Penny and Daisy in it.

I am very lucky that I don't have bad dreams about kitties. I dream about them talking to me, but no nightmares. OMG! It would really upset me.

My cat nightmare was kind of funny. A little background: when we first got Speck, I used to play stalking games with him. I would whisper "I'm going to get Speck...." Then I'd pretend to hide and he'd jump out at me. Or I'd chase him. We both had a great time. Then one night had this dream. I dreamed I was in this very beautiful apartment with many rooms. The people who owned the apartment had told me that I could have any of their clothes that I wanted, so I was going from room to room, trying on gorgeous clothes. In the midst of it all, this short white tiger shows up. I couldn't get away from it! I would think I had escaped, then turn around and there he'd be. I was so scared. I woke up with my heart pounding...and immediately made the connection. The short white tiger was my own Speck.

I had a nightmare that Half-tail had kittens. Last year we ended up with 15 kittens from 4 moms(one, Callie, has been adopted out and the other 3 were fixed, Goldie disappeared never to be seen again but we still have Mama and Biter) so more kittens is my worse nightmare. I still have 5 of the kittens, Half-tail, Runt, Goldie Jr, Attitude and Nuts. Goldie and Biter were the major contributors, they had 9 between them. Don't ask me who belongs to who they both took care of them equally. Mama and Callie each had 3. 2 of Mama's left deciding they wanted nothing to do with humans, 1 stuck around for a while before deciding to move up the road to be a barn cat. Callie's 3 went to new homes because the neighbor who had them wasn't honest about the fact that it was pretty much guaranteed they had FeLV. She told them they needed to be tested(somehow I don't even think she did that, no one wanted our when we told them they had leukemia.) While I miss having itty bitty kittens(Mama's were about 6-8 weeks and Biter and Goldie's were 4 weeks old, so I could socialize them Mama's were a lost cause, The neighbor found Callie and her kittens when they were first born so they were well socialized having been around people since birth.) I don't miss them enough to want more.

It was horrid, then I woke up and remembered Half-tail was spayed.

I think I have all the females, got rid of another calico(she found a new home) I found who was abandoned by the %&^^% up the street when they left. Even though considering how horrid she treats her animals it might have been a good thing.

No more kittens.

I've never had a dream/nightmare about Larry, but I did have a nightmare that ended up involving Larry at the end - the real Larry, not a dream Larry.

He sleeps with his head on the pillow next to me. I was dreaming there was some monster attacking me - I think I had just watched a movie, or it was some book I was reading before I fell asleep - I can't remember.

Anyhoo, I was being attacked and I had my hands around the monster's neck, then I felt claws and paws pushing my hand away and I woke up and I had my hands on Larry's neck!
I didn't have a hard grip - he woke me up....in the dream I did, but not in reality. But it scared the living daylights out of me! I wasn't in that deep of a sleep, so the feel of his paws and his claws woke me up right away.

He was sort of looking at me like, "Whaaa.......???!!!"

Thankfully I've never tried to hurt my kitties in my sleep! I can just imagine Larry's face!

I've several bad dreams about my boys. They all involve taking them outside for a walk and something bad happening, like one of them running into the road and getting run over. I've dreamed that a few times, and always wake up straight away and feel awful.

I know!! I felt horrible! And I didn't even have a grip on him - just both hands had been on him.
I had to get up and walk around to shake it off. It was freaky.

After Casper died I've been seeing lots of nightmares about Utu getting sick. It's always something which leads to the point where he has to be put to sleep and I'm having troubles trying to pull myself together so I can go into the room to spend his last moment with him.
Then I wake up crying..

Had a horrible dream the other night featuring my kitties. I dreamt that I discovered that my husband had been unfaithful to me, but not only that, he had taken my kitties and given them to his girlfriend! So most of the dream involved me storming over to her house to take my cats back. Stupid dream, but it felt very real while I was dreaming it and it was awful. I wonder why I am having these bad dreams about my kitties lately??

I have nightmares about my cats all the time. Either I am traveling somewhere, and have brought them with me, and they get lost, or I am traveling somewhere, and left them home, and whoever was caring for them let them out and they got lost, or I am stuck somewhere and cannot get home in time to give Tolly his seizure medicine.

Oddly enough, I never travel, but I have these horrific nightmares quite frequently. I hate it.

When I have nightmares about my cats, it always involves my wheelchair bound special needs brother as well. It doesn't make much sense. Either the cats have hurt him, which is terrible enough, or he has accidentally hurt them, or they all escaped outside together and they're all lost. Sometimes my brother turns into one of my cats, or the cats turn into him. But if I'm having a nightmare about one, the other shows up.

(Come to think of it, I might need to look into some dream analysis on this one. I didn't really realize that they're so connected and now I want to know why.)

I dream all the time about cats. And most of my dreams are bad, so usually they're bad. My most disturbing dream was about me visiting the shelter and trying to figure out how to save the kitties and find a cure since they were infected with the "rage virus" from the movie 28 Days Later.

The one nightmare I had about the kids was that I dreamed that our house had caught fire some how and we couldn't get them out. It was awful and when I woke up, I stayed awake for a long time. I couldn't get that out of my head.

For months after Banshee died, I would dream that I could hear her meowing, but couldn't find her. Or I would dream that I would walk in the front door. I could see her at the top of the steps, but til I got up the steps, she was gone again. I could hear her meowing, but I just couldn't find her. I kept saying, "Banshee, where are you?" And I'd wake up crying. I think I just missed her so much that I was even missing her in my sleep. DH would wake me because I was even talking in my sleep, trying to figure out where she was.

I have nightmares all the time of my cats. Some of them are just horrid. I had a dream a night or so ago that I had left faith with someone, and when I got home they were not there, but she was bleeding profusely and her leg had been torn off her body. She had been lying there bleeding. I was frantically grabbing her and her leg trying to get to the animal hospital. I was driving and driving and never seemed to get there. That's when I woke up. I was so disturbed by it I sat there awake for the next 3 hours. I even went down stairs to check on her and make sure she was okay. I hate those kinds of dreams.
