After just tucking into my yummy steak dinner, Pushkin lovingly lying next to me, I realized with horror that I'd left my beer in the kitchen. I did some quick math to figure out how quick I would have to be to put my plate down next to the computer, get up and go to the kitchen, grab the beer, and race back to my dinner before Pushkin would make a move on my food. Well, I got back to find Pushy nomming on my sweet potato mash. Hah, suck on yams, fat boy! Luckily the steak was on the far side of the plate and he hadn't reached it yet. So I got to enjoy most of my dinner anyway. Course I could've carried my plate back with me, but it seemed such a bother, and I do like to live dangerously.

Pushkin just loves me at dinnertime and must be by my side. Just loves me....

Hahahaha, I bet he loves ya! My Ringo LOVES people food- especially string cheese. you cannot put food down anywhere- even for a second, or he will help himself to it.

Playing with Jazzy & Ginga.
Kitties are so fast! Ginga loves being with me or someone else at the table, she sits on the ground watching us eat dinner and as soon as one of us gets up she makes her move! She is so fast! Jazzy just couldn't care less about people food, we give her some sometimes but Jazzy licks it and when she tries to eat it, Ginga rushes up and swallows it in one gulp

A couple years ago I had taken a chicken out of the oven and placed in on a platter to rest. I turned my back for 2 seconds, and when I turned back around I saw my chicken trotting down the hallway with Bella attached to it. She ate good that night--i had a salad.

Oh they can be sneaky little things, and quick as a cat!
Wiggies very rarely touches human food, but with Pushy anything is fair game. Luckily I'm not fussy about ingesting a bit of cat saliva with my food...

Funny, Genever's not usually too bad like that about getting at people food, but pens, remotes, hair ties, and especially cell phones- anything like that that she's not allowed to chew on- she is attracted like a magnet the second she sees an opportunity (i.e. we walk away or turn our backs).

When I saw the words "left my beer" for some reason I braced myself to hear of a cat tyring a bit of beer

Sweet potato mash, yum!
Fred would have waited on the beer. He was a little lush, and could not be trusted with alcohol left sitting. He would drink beer, but he really liked wine and White Russians. Even though we were careful, he would occasionally drink a little too much, lean against the couch and give us a little toothless grin. It was hilarious.
Pepper, Scooter, and Fluffy will nom the other end of a sandwich while I am eating it if they can get close enough. I keep the water bottle to shake at them while I am eating.
