Hello guys

sorry a little rant from me!

I have asthma which has done nothing but cause me doctors/hospital visits and lots of medication over the past 2 years. Any way I caught a tickly cough on Wednesday kept a eye on it took my meds and some over counter medicine but by today it was bubbly/chesty sore and my asthma was really bad , peak flow went form 450 to 340 which is never a good sign for me , went to out of hours doctors and on steroids and antibiotics again and signed off work for 4 days before they will check to see if i can go back again....sigh.

So i will be tidying my room ,filing paper and doing my paint by numbers and growing my tomato plant (*coughs*) attempt to grow lol what o u guys do when ur ill and off work i hate just laying on the sofa feeling sorry for myself makes me feel worse! x

I hope that you start feeling better soon.
I have a brother who has terrible asthma, so I understand the suffering it can cause.

Do you see a respiratory specialist for your asthma or just a regular doctor? It might be worth seeing if you can get referred to a specialist if not since your asthma is so bad and definitely not under control.

My DH asthma would be much worse if he didn't take so many medications to help, especially the allergy med.

I hope you can get to feeling better and find a treatment to keep this under control.

Aw thank you both.

I go to a respiratory clinic ever 3 months roughly and they usually increase/decrease certain meds and then see me like 1 month later but I haven't been in a while because I have not got the letter I might just ring up and check.

Please do call them. You should probably have an appointment every year at the beginning of allergy season over there since that will drastically affect asthma.

Is it very humid where you live? DH has asthma and when the pollen is high and the weather is humid, he's absolutely miserable. Also, do you have a nebulizer that you can use? If not, you might ask your respiratory specialist for one. That really helps him clear up his lungs and breathe better when he's struggling.

I have asthma as well and the weather we have had here lately has been horrid for it.

I have had to use my inhaler at times (first time in 6 months) along with my Advair.

It is very dry here , we have not had a rainy day in like 2 weeks now its so bad we have had a hose pipe ban because the resivouirs are like half full so the dryness has not helped. The pollen count here has been moderate the last 3 days.

My peak flow usually is 470 at the moment i am struggling to get past 340 xx
