Well today was the 2nd Annual Long Beach Hopheads Downtown LA Pubcrawl. The Hopheads met downtown to take the Blue Line up to LA, and had about 8 beer bars to go to, all walking and trains/subways/buses. NO DRIVING ALLOWED.

I, however, am a student for the first time in 9 years (YAY!), and had to skip the crawl to stay home and read and study Business Law. Genever decided to help.

She started chewing on a paper that i needed- the focus points for the exam on Thursday, so I quickly swapped it for a paper I didn't need, that i just was using as a bookmark, so she could continue biting off pioeces and spitting them out. Sigh. Silly girl. I did actually get some good study time in today. More to come tomorrow... and every other day for the next 5 weeks..

How cute is she?! She is only making sure you are studying and remember the most important thing, 'Genever'! Kidding aside, the most important thing is that she makes you smile and wants you to focus on your studies.....

I feel your pain, though - that is a scene I am quite familiar with. Resumes, unemployment forms, tax returns...Sophie sits on them, Jack walks all over them and makes little paw-shaped divots in the middle of them. Papers left loose and unattended are likely to become "cover sheets" for an unfinished plate of canned cat food.

Kinda hard to get anything done when the distraction is that adorable though, right?

I totally relate to returning to school after a long absence (this last semester was my first in 8.5 years) and having certain priorities.

This coming semester will be my first with my 2 new kittens. Can't wait to see what the upcoming semester presents itself with.

So adorable!

What a pretty kitty!

You now have an excuse "My cat ate my homework...here are the pics to prove it!".

Yes, except as you can see, I ended up taking pictures of her and of course petting her, and laughing at her chewing off bits of paper, and then taking the paper away and giving her a new paper...
But I did get a bunch of studying done. Even though Genever was kind of in my way, I found it's better to study on the bed rather than the living room because then I keep stopping and going on the computer. I have problems staying focused sometimes....

Genever is just too cute. The pic of her holding your paper down begs for a spot in the "Caption This Picture!" forum. She really does look like she's reminding (and scolding!) you to pay attention to your studies. You're right, for such a regal beauty, she sure is a silly girl! But, the one picture that really stood out to me was the fourth one -- her close-up. She looks either very unimpressed or very bored in that photo. And, since business law is not my thing, I can relate Genever's look of indifference
.

Congrats about being a student again! I'm hoping to return to school come this next spring semester. And, if I can get things straightened out some, I'm even considering returning and taking at least one class in the fall. But, we'll see. Either way, though, good on you for studying. And, I think Genever deserves some scritches for helping her meowmy study, for being a nice, pretty paperweight, and for acting as your comic relief. It really does look like you were both very busy with all that studying!

Thanks for sharing the pics of your G-cat. I love seeing her -- she always makes me smile. And, good luck with school!
