Thanks everyone!

The pain is a little less today. It still hurts but it was easier to get out of bed this morning. Though it could also be that I've now figured out how to get in and out of a really soft, flat bed.

Poor Abby! She loves laying in bed with me and absolutely hates when I get up. She lays there calling for me for a few minutes and then follows me out and scolding me at the same time. Guess she figures I need to be in bed resting!

I still am spending a fair bit of time in bed because it's uncomfortable to sit up for very long. I have staples and when I sit I feel the skin pulling and the staples digging into the skin, adding to the discomfort. So I get up for an hour here and there and do my laps around the apartment, sit for a bit, stand for a bit and then go and lay down again.

I sent an email to the girl in the gyne clinic asking for an appointment for Thursday to go and get my staples out. It might be more comfortable after that.

The worst is over with now!!! So glad you're out. I think everyone recovers faster in their own home!! Especially with the world's best "kitty-nurse-maid" by your side. Please take care

You'll be back to normal in no time. I had a caesarian, a womb reattachment and a hysterectomy all in the same incision area in less than 3 years and I was up and around in no time. The day after my hysterectomy I was up and rolling up the bed for the lady sharing my hospital room. We all heal differently of course but it sounds as though you are on the way.

It's tough when you live alone to have to do everything for yourself so just take it slow and easy. Take advantage of any offers of help from friends and family.

or a speedy recovery and a good pathology report!

Yeah you will feel alot better when the staples are pulled. I had them for my surgerys and I remember how uncomfortable they were and I also remember how my surgery site felt 100x's better once they were out!!

Good luck with your healing. I'm glad the surgery went well. It will probably be a long 4 weeks for the results, but it sounds quite positive from what the surgeon said.

I JUST got my internet hooked up (moved over the weekend) and I am soo happy to see the update that you're home!
I have no doubt that you'll be feeling much, much better in no time! I know you know this already, but just relax and take it easy and let your friends & brother help out when they can.
I think that little Abby will be a good kitty nurse too and look after you!
If you need anything, you have my number and I have family near you that would be more than happy to help!

Linda! I'm such a coward, I was afraid to come check on you, and then when I didn't find you in the PL, I was really scared! But here you are, and I'm so glad everything went well. May all the news be good from here on out.

I don't have a PL membership anymore.
