Hi all,

Just wanted to get back with everyone. I had my final surgery to have a pain pump implanted in my back. I'm now up and running and doing well. You may have wondered what every happened with all my ferals. Wellllll, it's been fun. Orange cat, (the one that lost his eye in a fight and I had neutered), He has become a big baby. He figured out how to come in the doggie doors and about 2 months ago, about 1.30am I felt a real heavy weight on the bed. Guess who..that right. Orange Cat.scared the daylights out of me to say the least. Well, I put him out the front door, and he came back in after about 10 min. finally I got tired of putting him out and he slept in bed with us. well, he now sleeps with us every night, along with the dogs. They all love each other very much. it's funny to watch him great me at the door with the dogs, and then going in circles like the dogs do, to greet me. I don't have the heart to tell him he's a cat. He loves doggie treats and like the dogs, when I go into the bathroom, and I open the door to come out, he will be sitting there staring right with the dogs. He goes out the doggie doors when he has to pee, but most of the time, he stays with me. I got one of the fosters back. I had given her back before the surgery, but my other girl missed her so much we had to drive out to the rescue and pick her back up. Tomorrow, I'm getting 2 more kittens to socialize before they go up for adoption. Life is so much fun here, between the horses, dogs and all the cats. at least the horses can't come in the doggie doors. lol
I'll be reading all the post and catching up on what is going on with everyone. Just wanted to say I'm back and Hi.

Yep, it would be rough sleeping in the bed with horses.
Welcome back to the Cat Site. That orange boy sounds like you have spoiled him rotten.

Welcome back!

Excellent news. About you, and about your animals...

the orange cat - Im not sure he really thinks he is a dog. It may be a way to please himself in... Behave like one of the guys, so you will be accepted...

Not so few cats are smart enough to figure this out: please themselves in with the houses dogs - and then they will be let to stay...

And if you REALLY want a horse in the bed: try with a pony and a really king size bed... I think there will also be place for a small dog and a medium sized cat too... If you really squizees against the wall.

Good luck!

Well, I'm in bed and orange cat is curled around my head, kneeding the pillow. He has become a joy. when I figure how to get pics off my phone and onto the computer, i'll post some so you can see him and the dogs. all 25-30 lbs of him. we do have a large king size, it hold 2 humans, 3 dogs, 2 cats. hubby gets his 4 inches on the edge as do I. lol. i've noticed that my other ferals that I've adopted to live in the barn are starting to try to get in the front door when I open it. They are doing the lloonnnggg stretch and they manage to get their front half in the door. so far i've made them stay out. They are good mousers and have everything they could need outside. Good food, ice water in the summer and heated water in the winter. Fans on the floor for them to lay in front of and super warm beds to sleep in when it's cold. OC just doesn't want to stay out. love him lots.

WELCOME BACK and I'm so glad to hear you're doing well!!!!
I really hope the pump works to keep you in the most comfort possible.

That is just TOOOOOO CUTE about OC! I have a feeling this winter you're gonna have a lot of cats inside!

I wouldn't have the heart to tell OC he's a cat either.

Many
We've missed you and been thinking about you - I didn't remember you were having a pump installed, but I figured you were having issues with your back and have sent you vibes that all would be well.

I've really missed everyone here. This great welcome back reminds me why. thank you all for your good wishes. I'm getting 2 new cats today to start socializing before adoption. then, once they are adopted I'll be getting a couple more. I need to keep OC from them. He will convince them to be a dog. I'm also back to work, part time, training dogs. I have a new feral male hanging around. I call him Silverster, because he's black and white, and looks like the cartoon cat Silverster. He now comes within about 3 feet of me. Once he gets more comfortable, I'll have him trapped and neutered. If he is going to stay here he must lose his puppies. He really looks to be put together from left over parts. But I think he's cute. The TNR group I work with just lost the vet that was doing the spays and neuters for a reduced price. I'm trying to find some in this area that will help our group. If anyone knows of someone in the Spotsylvania/Stafford Virginia area, please pm me and let me know. I know there have to be others out there that realize that tnr works and really cares about animals not just just the money.

Oh Mary, I'm so sorry about the vet! What about using the yellow pages, finding all the vets, and writing letters to all of them? I know it's a lot of work - but there's got to be someone who would want to help!
