How they torment us!!!

This morning, getting my first cup of coffee, Da Magpie got me good. Now, before coffee, I am pretty well decaffeinated and not too terribly alert. Standing at the table, trying to get creamer IN the cup and I see something white poke out from unter the table and retreat fast and I jumped. Thought it was lack of caffeine, and it happened again, and again and each time, that startle reflex. The fourth time, the white kept coming, followed by black then Da Magpie came all the way out and looked up at me, looked at me like I had lost it completely and said, very loudly "Aaaaaaaaaweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep" which I think means hello or maybe that's MINE leave it alone.

Yea, I am not too with it either in the morning. There could be three new cats here and I wouldn't even notice them!
