Nuts got neutered today(well I guess technically yesterday.) He did great and is laying down in front of the door(his favorite place to lay.) He seems sore but has got up on the bed and couch though not as much as usual. He ate just fine and I'm assuming he has drunk some(fountain is in the bedroom on other side of house.) He had fluids during the surgery so I know he's fine even if he hasn't drank much.

The vet didn't give me any pain killers, I'll see how he is tomorrow and ask for them if I think he needs them. I think I need to take Attitude in anyways, she seems to be getting bloody noses. Darn sick cat I can't afford this.

Do I let him lick the area or not, I know to not let him do it excessively when I catch him I make him stop but is some licking ok(since I know he prolly wants to clean/groom himself) or should I stop him every time I see him doing it. I think I've seen him do it 3 times, so not too often(around normal or near normal for him.) Like I said when I noticed I made him stop. He doesn't have stitches.

What do I need to look out for that says he isn't doing good and needs to see the vet or is in pain and needs pain medication. Like I said by the way he's moving I can tell he's a little sore, but he's eating normally, drinking normally(had to refill fountain as usual) and is acting normally just being a lot more sedate and not moving around as much. He's also using the box. He's also sleeping normally.

I feel bad but this needed to be done. He has never sprayed(and he is 13 months old) so this needed to be done before he decided to do that(even though I know males that have never sprayed and never been neutered.)

He's also up to 10.5 lbs so he has gained weight from the 10.1 he was at his last appointment so he isn't suffering from being fed the lower amount of food so Attitude can lose weight. I'll have to see where her weight is at when I take her in next.

Yay Nuts has no nuts!

He will be fine hun, a little licking is normal. I've never had to give any pain killers after a spay OR neuter. As long as he is eatting and behaving normally, and there is no inflammation or discharge, he should be fine.

Yeah, I keep joking that Nuts lost his.

Water fountain is still full, slightly concerning but they do that sometimes don't drink much and then drain the fountain, they also haven't ate much today either. I'm assuming they are just having an off day. I know Nuts is sore, you can tell by the way he walks and I'm sure Attitude is picking up on that. Nuts has been all over Paul today and I heard the 'elephants' thunder up the hallways this morning.

Both my babies are now fixed, woohoo.
