I've had cats that liked to bury themselves under the covers on the bed. Just little mounds of kitties everywhere. And they would really get an attitude if I disturbed them!!!

You lucky people! I have no burrower now, and I do miss it. Bibbs (
3/05) was my last burrower and she was taught by Sissy (
12/97) who also burrowed.

As a matter of fact, every morning, without fail, I wake up with Sophie-Ann wrapped around one of my legs or feet.
She used to just find her own spot, but now that Jack's around...well, he sees a lump moving under the covers, he pounces on it and tries to "dig" it out of there (my poor comforter!). So she's smart - she lies along my leg, or curls up in the crook of my knee, so she's a bit more shielded.

It's very endearing, especially if the fam comes into my room to wake me in the AM. My sister practically had a heart attack once, thinking she might have let Soph get loose when she arrived at the house...she couldn't find her anywhere. She came into my room in a panic, and I threw back the covers and there was Sophie-Ann, lying alongside my leg with her claws embedded in my pajamas.

I have to wonder though...how the heck do they BREATHE?!

My RB cat was so bad that he actually taught me to make he bed.
Sat on him so many times because he was just another lump.

No, no Jeff that is not spoiled. She is entitled to whatever she finds comfortable, and because she is loved, you see that she has it.

Entitled and loved. Not spoiled.

Aww, I just love Holland so much!! Such a little cutie!

I have a burrower!

Genever just loves to get under blankets, on the bed and on the sofa.

Yep, that's her:

And notice the pillow case... I got it made from Snapfish for BF for his birthday in Feb. I thought it was appropriate subject matter for a pillowcase- lounging and napping.
Here's another of her and it (I don't know why her tail looks brown):

Here she is on the sofa, she's always burrowing under the Broncos blanket if we don't have it folded nicely like we should. I've panicked already not knowing where she is and then finding her under there, looking like a regular lump in the blanket.

Swanie is my burrowerer. He doesn't do it every time, but often enough. And he'll burrow, or try to burrow, under anything. He loves to get under the covers when I'm sleeping and snuggle up next to me.

In this picture I had thrown the shirt on top of the chair and Swanie came along.

My Mandarin is. We call him the Burrito Bandito. He likes to burrow in blankets or newspapers. He'll just wrap himself up into a little kitty taco. I wubba him...

I have two burrowers. Ernesto has always liked to "take cover", it seems to make him feel like a predator that lies in wait for his prey, well hidden.

This toy will never see him coming

dEUS seems to have learned from his mom to burrow under the covers in times of danger (which meant; whenever the breeder used the vacuum cleaner
) but he also likes to sleep against my feet.
Mimosa does not like to be confined under anything and Flynn likes to snuggle under the covers with us but only when we lift them for him.

Crumbs is definitely a burrower. I always check before sitting down on the bed, because she's so tiny she hardly even makes a visible lump in the blanket.

I love photos of burrowers. Lex is a former burrower. When he was younger, he could be found under my comforter. Whenever I saw a large bump on the bed, my camera was ready for a snap. I especially love his "I just woke up look." Sadly, he has outgrown burrowing phase.

I love both the pillowcase AND the Broncos blanket...
