She is a huge scaredy cat. She is afraid of everything she is not very familiar with.

I got rid of a couch when I last moved but I kept the cushions for the cats to play around on. It turned out to become Nia's safe place when she is scared of something. It ended up being a great place she can feel safe when she panics and not actually hurt herself trying hide somewhere she can't fit.

That's exactly how my kitty Mia hid when I first brought here home. Right down to the ineffective butt sticking out pose.

Wow. Nia is so gorgeous! I love her markings. She certainly looks relaxed! And I laughed out loud at her hiding from the thunder and lightning.
