Are my kittens eyes normal?

I am getting a little Balinese kitten in a few weeks and the breeder has been sending me pictures of her but I am getting concerned as her eyes don't look right they seem to be sort of "wall eyed" is this a common siamese kitten thing and will she outgrow it? Her eyes are not crossed in but they seem to just be looking in slightly different directions . I don't know how to post pictures or I would post a couple

Yes, with blue-eyed cats it can look like they are "different" - its more of an optical illusion with the color and shape then anything else.

I would contact the breeder with your concerns so she can take a good look and maybe have a vet check the eyes too before you get the kitten.

BTW what color point?

she is a blue point. I did ask the breeder about her eyes but she told me that it was just the way the pictures were taken. I think her eyes are a little less strange now then when we was 3 weeks old. Here is a link to a few pictures the breeder sent me

The eyes look fine. I breed Ragdolls and get the same effect in photos. She is a little cutie. As she grows it will go away.

I also get the same effect with kittens between 2-5 weeks of age. Don't worry

Same thing happened with Wrinkles.
I even asked her breeder if she was cross eyed.
It happens with many blue eyed cats.

Do you know that blue-eyed cats with white fur have a high incidence of genetic deafness?

MysteryCat - The deafness is linked to the dominant white (W) gene and a higher incidence is found in WW vs. Ww cats. Balinese and other pointed cats are not white, although they are born that color. Rather, they are homozygous for a gene that causes a point-restricted albinism and that is what causes their blue eyes. They are born hearing just fine.

Blue eyed whites have higher chance of being deaf. But the pointed gene doesn't have that problem.

Actually any eye color can be deaf. I owned a blue eyed and odd eye (both hearing) white and my odd-eye female produced a deaf gold-eye white. It was not due to her being white, but to the high white BICOLOR father!

This was explained to me by a breeder who specializes in genetics - she asked me if the father was bicolor after knowing my odd eye white was hearing.

My blue eyed white was out of a pointed parent so he was fine.

Is that so?
At least I understand it now

Yep the pointed cats are not deaf.
I have a blue eyed Seal Tortie Point and white Sphynx.
