I have a question for anyone who has experience with 5-6 week old kittens - how often should they use the litter box? My foster kitten Charlie is using the box very well, with few accidents, but he poops 4 or 5 times a day. Is that normal, or does it indicate a problem? I've never cared for a kitten this young before, so I don't know.

Thanks! One less thing to worry about.

Usually after kittens are past the fourth week and eating wet food and pooping on their own there's not really much care difference between them and an 8 or 9 week old. They all poop a lot when little. As long as the stools look good - Just keep an eye on it, if supplementing with KMR some kittens can get constipated on it around the time they should be weaned.
