I have two cats who have had diarrhea for about a month. I have tried EVERYTHING, deworming, detapeworming, antibiotics, and even tried mylanta (vet said to try it). NOTHING WORKS! Klohe' did have tape worms, but I dewormed her, but they still have diarrhea and gas. Took a stool sample into the vet everything came back ok. I am worried. Tested for Feline Leukemia neg. and they've had there shots, but they still have humps on their backs from where they got their shots about a month ago. Thats when the diarrhea started. I have had a bottle baby kitten that I rescued from the vet and he is about 4 weeks and now HE has started getting diarrhea also. And I am very very worried because he is only about 4 weeks. I am at a loss for what to do. I don't have the money to keep taking them back to the vet with no success. Please HELP!!!!

Have you tried Albon yet? Also ask your vet about Forte Flora and see if he can give you some of that. If he isn't into that holistic probiotic- then cook up some white rice, puree it and add it to their food. About their rump- use a combination of mineral oil and desitin ointment on it- that should help the redness

In a kitten this young I would change vets! That kittens life depends on it. I suffer from chronic issues with bowels-its painful. Please at least call around and try to get some recomendations on a better vet ASAP

There are only two vets in this town that I go to and the other one wont call me back. My kitten is walking around funny with his back legs. I don't understand how he could have gotten sick, unless he was born with a disease or something that didn't affect him until now. He still has an appetite and is still eating, just not as much as before, but I am making sure he eats and trying to keep him in a crate so that he cant walk around too much so that he can just rest. Hopefully he can make it until monday, and I'll rush him in right in the morning. He still wants to play and things, so I am hopeful. I think because tomorrow is a holiday the vet doesn't want to deal, but if he gets too bad tomorrow im calling the vet and i'll pay the emergency visit to have him looked at. The cat has never been dewormed or anything, and im wondering if maybe its a parasite or something. I think he is just now at the age to where he can be dewormed, so hopefully thats all it is, and I can get him some dewormer and he can feel better and get better. The only cats he's been around are my other two, and they have soft poop not the runny poop that he has, and im wondering if its from their shots, since they still have the bumps on their back from when they got them. I dunno, Im going to look into everything, but im just worried about my little guy. I don't know if I should water down the formula a little so he is getting extra fluids or just keep it the same. I've never bottle fed kittens before, and I understand how hard it is, but I've had him for 4 weeks now and I've never had a problem like this before.

Thanks for all your help!

If the vet won't call you back, show up at the office with the cat. You can't wait around for a call with a sick kitten. They go down very fast.

You need to be pro active and determined to get them help.

Don't take no for an answer.

Go to the ER vet. It's really your best shot at this time. I don't think it's wise to wait until Monday.

The other vet called me back and he said unless the cat is acting ill its fine and that the poops is caused from worms, my vet has someone there today that can get me the dewormer and I can see if its helping. the kitten is still eating very well actually it just doesn't want its rear end touched at all. I think after he gets the dewormer his poops will get better. Im hopeing if he's still got it tomorrow, thats when I'll take him in! Thanks everyone!
