Hi everyone.

Noticed a hairball looking mass on the floor this am.Looked unusual.
After checking it out we found 2 small hair ties in it.Then Bubba starts making swallowing/coughing up motions. Now we are wondering how many did he eat?
Thankfully we took him in and x-rays did not reveal any more hair ties but we have to watch him. They gave us a medicine to help with his throat
that appears to be causing him some discomfort.
We found he and CC have been playing with centipedes that come into the house from all the rain.So the hair ties look like a centipede we think.
Hopefully he will be ok.All hair ties have been hidden now from curious cats.

First, thank you for not delaying a visit to the vet - and I hope you all have a peaceful night and that Bubba feels better. And, isn't it amazing how having either a toddler or a pet makes you a much better housekeeper?
I try to be so diligent about cleaning/hiding everything these days!

Good luck to you.

Hi Darlili

Thanks for the kind words of encouragement.I'm still finding his and CC's
caches of stolen bits and cellophane. They keep us on our toes.

I spoil my cats rotten so it was a bit traumatic taking him to the vet in his carrier, car ride and the medicine required him wrapped up in a towel.

He seems better after a long nap.Still happy and purring. He gets active
from 8pm on.Maybe a little chase the laser and a treat will make him feel a little better. It'll help me anyway!

I remember when my cats were indoor cats. I had to really be careful. They love dental floss, sewing thread, rubber bands, and other kinds of no nos.
I am glad you cat is okay.

Hi everyone.
Bubba appears to be just fine.Continuing the meds for 3 more days.We will be paying more attention to what he can get ahold of.
