We brought fosters Casey and Olive back into the Animal Rescue League this afternoon. The League is having their annual Red Dot event. They have it every year, during their busiest season, and always have a TON of adoptions. Send vibes please that the girls get adopted this weekend!

Of course we brought home new fosters...

Angel Marie is a beautiful medium haired torbie who has 5 precious kittens that look like they are MAYBE a day old. They are already gasping, so I'm hoping they'll pull through anything they may have caught while at the shelter.
There are 4 brown tabbies and 1 lil orange tabby kitten.

We also brought home a BIG neutered long haired male we named Sebastian. He was terribly matted, was recently shaved and has sores on his back due to the matting.
He also has an URI, surprise surprise, so he needs a LOT of TLC. He's such a lover though!

I'll get pics once everyone is settled and feeling better.

Well little Angle Marie and her babies were doing ok as of this morning. She was nursing them when I went to check on them
I'm of course still very worried about them though.

Sebastian is in the room where my little brother sleeps when he stays with us. He was over last night and Sebastian cuddled up with him the whole night.

Is it EVER huh? I almost always lose at LEAST one, but so far they're all still kicking. I am causiously optimistic.

So far, so good guys! Both Angel Marie AND Sebastian are looking much better already. Angel is eating well now and all 5 of her babies are continuing to fight. They are GORGEOUS. We have 2 female torbies (like their Mom), 2 brown tabby boys and an orange tabby boy.

Sebastian is a much pickier eater.
I've tried a few different good quality dry foods which he has no interest in. I've also tried numerous wet foods, and he'll eat a BIT of that, but not much. He does love treats though.
He looks better though, and is active. I am so in love with this guy... I don't understand how someone could have let him get so matted, as he LOVES to be brushed!

Well I spoke too soon.
One of the brown tabby boys was gone when I got home from work this evening and the other brown tabby boy is looking very off as well. I knew there was a good chance of this, but it never makes it ANY easier.
Rest in peace little one.

So sorry Kaillie, its sad how much it happens, but the shelters we pull from are just so stressful for the moms and the little ones have no immune system for all the illnesses in them

And that is exactly it hun.
Since my last post I lost both of the other males. The only 2 to make it through are the 2 torbie females, but at this time they have their eyes open, are nursing well and I do believe and hope they are past the danger point. As hard as losing them is, I have to keep in mind that although I can't save them all, I WILL save as many as I can.

On a happier note, Sebastian is being adopted!
A good friend of my aunt's has fallen in love with him, and he'll be going home with her in a few days, once we make sure he is completely healthy. This way I'll always be able to get updates, pictures, etc.

I hope the two other girls make it through !!

It's a great thing Sebastian is going to someone who can keep you updated on him.
