Billy is adjusting so well, and is definitely looking like he will be a VERY loving cat. The past two days he has been exploring the kitchen a little bit...he is a little weird about it, and doesn't seem to know how the kitchen connects to other rooms. If he steps from tile onto carpet, he turns back onto tile. But he is doing great at exploring the room. He has found the other kitties food/water numerous times!
Today, he was in the kitchen for awhile while I swept and cleaned the carpets in his "safe room". By the time I was done...he was SO ready to go back to his room. And he was lonely. He spend a good ten minutes climbing ALL over me while I sat on the couch. Climbing my arms, shoulders and onto my head! He got onto the floor and cried at my feet to get petted...and when I stopped petting him, he climbed my pant leg to get onto my lap!
This little guy is totally not letting blindness hinder him at all. He is such a great kitten, and we love him so much!

Good job Billy!
You are awesome for adopting this little guy. Have you posted pics of him? I would love to see him.

Billy is just growing SO fast!! He is eating well, unless other cats are around. Our cats usually share a plate of wet food, but he does not. We usually try to feed him and Joey, our kitten who is 2 weeks older than him, together in our living room. We made that Billy's safe room, and Joey spends a lot of time in there with him. Unfortunately, as much as Billy and Joey play together, Billy does not like to share food and growls the whole time, so now Joey won't eat with him. It's sad
for me atleast, because Joey is my baby! Billy is too but I have had Joey for 8 weeks and Joey spends a ton of time with me and is just spoiled rotten. I could write so much about Joey too, because I just love him.

Billy had learned how to get out of his "safe room"! At first, we would carry him from the living room to the kitchen because he would get lonely in the living room and cry. He would sniff/feel around the doorway from kitchen to playroom, but never go in the playroom, it was like he knew he had not explored that room yet. Well earlier in the week Joey had climbed the baby gate a couple times but very gingerly and only if he heard us in the playroom. Today, while we were sitting on the couch, he climbed up the gate. I went into the playroom, and used my voice and snapping my finger to guide Billy into the kitchen. Now, Billy does NOT want to stay in the safe room. He has climbed the gate atleast 10 times, walks the same path through the playroom and into the kitchen to play/hang out. It is so funny! We worry about him in the playroom because there is a door to our upstairs, and he has never been on the stairs before. I am sure he will learn well but he is still clutzy!

Pictures of Billy (grey kitty) and Joey (tan kitty). They are both beautiful!

Oh my, this are pretty cats. Is there anything any prettier than a fluff ball cat?

What a little love bug cutie pie! I love reading about him - you're taking such good care of him!

It looks like Joey and Billy get on just fine! Sorry they can't share food - but maybe it's because Billy doesn't know how much food is on the plate and wants to make sure he gets his food?
