So for breakfast I had a blueberry Activia yogurt and some whole wheat waffles. I finished up and noticed Shadey sitting patiently beside me eyeing the yogurt cup, so I offered it to him. He was SO happy, licking away and then realized that there was some left down at the very bottom of the cup. After trying and failing to shove his whole big head into the little cup, he srated putting his paw in the cup and then licking it off.
He was quite pleased with himself!

Awww! Several of my boys also like fruity or vanilla yogurt. But I can't eat it so they don't get it anymore!

That is too cute! I can just picture Shadey trying to get his big foofy head in a yogurt container!!
Holland loves to lick the yogurt too, and the leftover milk after I have cereal. I just have to be careful, because she tends to get runny poops if she has too much dairy.

I, too, can just about picture Shadey's big, fluffy head trying to fit into a small yogurt container. I'm sure that alone was worth a laugh
! And, what a smart boy to (finally) figure out that sticking his paw in the container and then licking the yogurt off would garner the same result as fighting his way into the entire cup.

My kitties aren't too big on begging since it's not something I usually give in to. However, this week, while I've been recovering from having two of my wisdom teeth extracted, I've been much more lax. And, the fact that I've been eating lots of soft foods that leave some residue in their containers or the bowl I put them in certainly bodes well for the cats. In fact, mine have been bugging me for my empty yogurt containers every day. I'll occasionally take some of the yogurt on my finger and let them lick it off, but they've been really pushy this week. Those kids...you give 'em an inch and they take a mile! Finnegan, for instance, has been shoving his fluffy head into the yogurt container even before I'm finished with it. And, Cassidy has decided that she's obsessed with oatmeal (which she gets none of). But, they've also been begging for cottage cheese, chicken and tuna salad, and ice cream. While they haven't gotten much, they have definitely gotten more than usual. They're going to have a difficult time when I'm feeling 100% again -- no more people snacks for the kitties!

As for Shadey, it sounds like he knows what he wants and knows how to go about getting it! He's such a cutie
-- how could you resist letting him have just a taste?! Wait! That's how mine are getting me in trouble. I will be strong tomorrow morning. I can resist their cuteness. Ah, whatever, those cats know who's boss in this house. And, if you didn't already know, it's not me.
