I adopted a kitten from a shelter and he is infested with fleas. Does anybody know the dosage to give him? I use the 55lbs and over dog advantge on my cats which was suggested on this site. Most of my other cats get the small dose 0.4 ml. I use a 1cc syringe to measure the amount. Should I give him just two drops? He is 4 months old and very skinny but eating well.

I have always done them over 8 weeks at .4 if under 8 i use less. package states .4 size sold for kittens is for 1-9 lbs and over 8 weeks anyway.

I use .5 for the big cats. For kittens/ferrets/rabbits I do .1 per 2 pounds. You can use up to .4; that's what's in the 1-8 pound pre-packaged dose so it must be safe, but using more than necessary is a needless waste of product.
