I don't care which side of the aisle you're on, or what you're preaching.

TEACHERS NEED TO CHECK THEIR POLITICS AT THE DOOR!

As much as people were in an uproar, and rightly so, for the kids who got sent home for wearing USA colors/flags, this should cause the same uproar.

Would that same teacher ride kids wearing green on St. Patty's day? I don't get the fact that Mexican's are being singled out right now.

Totally unacceptable! Teacher's like that have no business around young students. Shame on him/her!

Wow, that teacher is full of hatred. Maybe she needs anger management courses before she's allowed to return to the classroom.

Horrible.

"Singled out" how? This is the first I have heard of anything like this happening as far as school kids being sent home for wearing something pertaining to Mexico. Although I have heard of some kids being sent home for wearing "American" themed clothes. Does that mean that American's are being "singled out right now"?

Yes it is totally unacceptable for teachers to do ridiculous stuff like that.

Just for the record, please note WHICH news channel has seen fit to cover this story. I'm just saying............

This is an excellent point, that I'm sure explains the lack of outrage. There won't be any outrage until it's carried by a national news website that people actually read.

Speaking of which, a Fox News writer put his name on a story written by a San Bernardino County Sun reporter 3 days ago...what's up with that?

Dream on! Fox News is number 1 in Cable.
Don't know how their website compares to their television ratings, do you?

But this isn't on cable, is it? The problem with many Fox viewers is that the website requires them to form their own opinions, vs. being given an opinion by a pundit or "commentator", and that's just too much work for some people.

According to Alexa.com, the web rating system, Foxnews.com is currently at 546, far below such sites as CNN, The India Times, and Al Jazeera.

The problem with the world is that many lack tolerance of other people, their beliefs, culture etc.

That story reminded me a bit of a situation in Canada.

There is currently a case in Canada where a taxi cab driver in Quebec, a Province that is known for it's separatist attitude, is being taken to court for displaying some items in his taxi cab such as photos of his family, religious artifacts, a couple of flags and a Remembrance Day poppy.

Ask anyone in Canada and they will all tell you the main problem is likely the flags, especially the Canadian one, and the poppy. Because it wouldn't be the first time Quebec went after someone for displaying a Canadian flag in a public venue.

People who have ridden in his taxi cab have been interviewed and those that were interviewed have all said that his displayed items didn't bother them at all.

Once again a demonstration of intolerance to our rights as individuals to express our patriotism and/or our faith and love.

I missed this thread somehow. But I agree, the teacher was far out of line. She is the one who should have been reprimanded.
