Its been a little while!

Its been a while since Ive been cruising TCS. Mostly due to busy busy busy car show season and the recent adoption of another dog. Lotsa stuff has happened though and thankfully only one minor bad thing. Fatman got tapeworm a couple weeks ago but is all cleared up and Hercules and GiGi also got a worm treatment. We adopted my moms golden retriever Maxwell (Max) because she couldnt give him the time and attention that he needed, he was starting to stress chew on his legs and just wasnt having a good life. Hes doing amazing here though and bonus my mom pays for the dog food so thats just one less thing we have on our plate. We also have been going to car shows on the weekends. Ive been driving bfs dads 78 (I think) camaro...I know its a gen 2. but we took 2nd place in 2 of the car shows and also got trophies for the 71 boss 351 mustang and his dads duster. All three cars were ones that BF built and painted so he was really happy that they all managed to place in the shows. Right now we are working on a Nova that once done Ill be driving to the car shows....Im super excited about it because that car just sounds evil and Im gonna learn how to do burn outs in it.... Im so excited!!!!!!

I just wanted to pop in and see how everyone is doing and hope you guys are all having a GREAT summer so far...I know I am!!!

Hey, nice to hear from you! I've been wondering where you took off to.. Glad it's because you're busy with fun stuff and not hassles. Sounds like you did a wonderful thing by taking your mom's dog, and congrats on all the car show stuff!

Welcome back - I guess youll have to change your name now to include max!

DarkMavis- I swear if its not one thing its another....Back and forth between out house and bfs dads has been going on nonstop...IM SICK OF DRIVING!!! But I have enjoyed going to the shows to see all the neat cars and Im so proud of BF for all the work he has done and to have those cars place. Tell G-Cat we all say hello to her and we hope shes doing really well.

Februa-I might have to adjust the number of dogs now. It was supposed to be temporary just to help her train him and whatnot and BF sat down one morning and I guess had a talk with Max and decided that since Franklin loves him so much we just have to keep him. Which doesnt bother me one bit because Ive been begging for a big dog since we got Hercules over 2 yrs ago.

Ahhh its good to be back on TCS...Ill have to post some pics of Max and find the few pics Ive taken from the shows of the cars.

LOL.....admit it, you're only here because the dog forum is down.... . I know I'm having withdrawals. Hmph.

Good to hear about the new doggie and that everything is right in your household.

welcome back, sounds like youve been having a great time. me and blaine have a few car shows lined up but its mainly modified car shows we go to although were at 2 classic shows this weekend

BF got a REAL JOB!!! We are officially going to be off assistance next week and will be able to afford to live 'normally'. Basically after weeks of debates arguements and everything else under the sun BF decided that he needed to get a real job and stop working for his dad! You have no idea how happy this makes me!!!! He starts today working with the farm crew, part of the company that makes up half of our landlord. He is going to be doing construction, demolition stuff like that. He starts out at a probationary pay of 12 bucks an hour but once he shows them he can run the equipment and stuff like that he will get a raise. Woo-hoo.....Im so pumped and best of all (this will sound really selfish but..) I dont have to work I can keep doing what Im doing at home. Taking care of the house, him and the furbabies which is exactly what I wanted to do. This is AWESOME! Im so happy, so hopefully fingers toes and all other body parts crossed this turns out to be a great job, makes him happy and keeps both of us sane!

I love going from living off $400 a month to over $400 a week! But downside its going to be a little lonely not having him right out back of the house where I can bug him and spend time with him. But he atleast was agreeable to us having a date night and us spending that night alone and together, even if its just going to McDonalds for dinner!!! Oh Im so happy!

Congrats to your BF obtaining a job! That's great news!

Yepper, I do! I preordered it as soon as I could...Amazon. I also preordered The Vampire Diaries. My sister wants to watch TVD and so does one of my co-workers. I kind of enjoyed it, so I ordered it.

You know, Supernatural is coming back for a sixth season? Only now it's on Friday nights instead of Thursdays. At 9, after Smallville.

UGH Isnt Friday nights on the CW a death sentence for their shows! I doubt that we are getting sattelite again for tv but just keep buying the seasons as they come out or buying the episodes off ITunes or Amazon. Is Eric Kripke staying on the show? I knew about season 6 and since I still havent seen 5 I dont know how it ends but supposidly the ending of 5 doesnt leave much of anything for 6. Im doing my best to keep from looking up episodes right now and waiting to get the dvd so BF and I can watch it together. If I watch without him he will kill me and I cant hide it cuz Ill blab what happened..LOL

To be honest, since SN went to Fridays, I think I've only watched it once or twice....I keep forgetting it's on. It's just repeats, so it's OK, but I want to try to get into the habit. Friday is not a good night for me to watch tv. *sigh*

I wasn't impressed at all with Season 5 at all and was getting tired of the whole Armageddon thing. So I was glad when the season was finally over. And, to be honest? I don't think they should have gone on with Season 6.

No Eric is not going to be around much. I think Sera Gamble will be in "big-charge" now, but I'm not sure. After you've watched season 5, we'll chat.

Thats my new mantra for the day! Although I am watching season 1 now..I do think that 22 episodes of the world is ending what do I do type stuff would be old and boring after a while. The show will probably end after season 6 if it does it wont end on a high note like it would have if it stopped after 5.
