I don't normally post a kitchen question since I don't spend a lot of time there
but today I do have one so:

How many spices do you have in your kitchen. Do you keep them in your pantry or do you have a spice cabinet.

I only have about 4 of them since I donâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]t cook much. I have a salt substitute, pepper, onion powder and garlic powder. Don't need much else and I never do recipe's.

..Too many to count, plus several herbs growing outside. The containers are in a large shallow drawer next to the stove. While I don't necessarily cook from recipes that often, anything I do cook usually has 5 or 6 seasonings/herbs used - I find food quite bland if no savory herbs are used at all.

I pretty much have one of everything....cinnamon, nutmeg, clove, allspice, garlic, cumin, oregano, basil, thyme, sage, rosemary, vanilla, poultry seasoning, chili powder, dill, tarragon, fennel, paprika. The only thing I know that I don't have is pepper. I detest pepper in any and all of it's incarnations.

Well over a dozen (I like to cook). I don't have a special place for them, though; they're in one of the kitchen cabinets.

I have about 10, but, honestly, unless I'm making a special dish that calls for it, I really only will use like, 3-4 of them (at the most). And they sit in my cabinet next to the stove.

I have everything you could imagine or need as I cook a lot. I also try to replace them after 3-6 months as they lose their "potency". And, I store them in a cupboard farthest from the stove as the heat adversely affects the spices.

I haven't noticed the heat bothering mine - but I have an electric range and usually only cook on one or two burners at a time, the furthest ones from the spices (more space). The opposite side of the kitchen has the dishwasher that gets super hot, steam rolls out of it and somehow I doubt that would be a good place.
(I have a typical '60s ranch style home, btw, and the typical kitchen that goes with it)

But like you, I cook nearly every single day - and sometimes have others cooking, too. I don't necessarily replace my spices on a schedule... I usually run out before 3-6 months. I can use up a standard size container of basil or paprika in close to a month.

I have two lazy susans in my kitchen and I keep them in the one closest to the stove.

Salt, pepper, and some garlic. I also keep a bottle of Garlic Tobasco sauce in the fridge, it's awesome on chicken.

I had some brown sugar, but had to throw it out. Occassionaly I would sprinkle some on buttered toast.

About 30 spices jars & bags, kept in the shelf of the peninsula in the kitchen, and I have about 8 fresh herbs growing pretty much year 'round that I use all the time. I cook all our meals from scratch... making Indian food requires a dozen or so of those spices, and I cook a lot of Mexican so I need different dried chile peppers.
