It's been a dark rainy day. The only action was nail trims this morning (for which I was forgiven after a brief shunning period)
Other than the exclamations of joy from the robins, who have been feasting on the worms brought up by the rain on freshly mowed lawns, it's been very quiet.
Suddenly there was a flurry of activity! (and of course I hopped up to get the camera)
Tolly, who was curled on my stomach at the time, was the first to react

Mazy was not far behind

Jennie chose an elevated vantage point

The diversion was enjoyed by all

The culprit of all this activity

We have a bird feeder with suction cups on the window. In the Winter, the birds drive the cats nuts - in the summer, it's the squirrels. They learn SO quickly the cats can't get at them - at least one of them defnitely taunts the kitties!

They were like "Hmmmm, a possible new friend or a light snack?!?"
