After Oscar's tragic farming accident, he was fitted with prosthetic back paws. It took a few months of rehab, but he is doing fine.

That's incredible. He looks as though he couldn't tell the difference.

I'll bet cleaning that metal was a new sensation on the tongue though.

I didn't think about that.
Animals amaze me. Tripod was born with legs. He only has one "normal" foot of the three. He hasn't let it slow him down in the least. When we first found him (as a kitten), it took 3 men to chase him down and catch him.

Wait... reading the cat's story. A combine?! That's not exactly something quiet. How odd.

Kitty is very lucky he only lost his paws and that this was able to be done for him.

I wonder what the sensation would be if the brain command is "splay your toes". My cats splay their toes when cleaning their thighs or anything lower.

I was thinking the same thing.

The documentry "The Bionic Vet" was on t.v. here on wednesday. It showed you the actual operation, and how Oscar managed with his new feet, which was excellent!.

The vet in question was a dedicated man, who said he believes in giving animals a chance wherever possible.

When Oscar took his first steps in his new feet, the vet picked him up and talked to him like we do in baby talk He cradled him like a baby lifting one of his new feet up to him saying "Look at your new feet!", then started kissing Oscars head

He also did an implant on a labrador, and the owner was so grateful that she hugged and kissed the vet. I good have as well because you could clearly see he was a true animal lover

You know i can't remember because i just set the reminder to record it as i was watching something else as well?.

It should be on iplayer though, or if you have Sky look in the anytime section incase it's there.

I think it's on next week as well, but honestly Ashley, you'll love the vet and how he is with the animals!
