Lion burger anyone?

I'm pretty much a live and let live person and by no means an animal activist, but this rubs me the wrong way.

"We're stepping outside the box, trying something new," chef Jason Bacon said.

This Wednesday and Thursday, the kitchen will put something on the menu so wild, you can only find it in zoos and in Africa.

"I've never cooked lion before," Bacon said. "This will be the first time trying lion."

"These are real African lions," said owner Cameron Selogie. "They are not from the wild, they are actually lions raised on a United States farm."

Err, no thank you. In general eating carnivores is a bad idea. Take bear for example, the meat is difficult for people to even cook right because it's greasy and stringy.

There's plenty of other animals they could use to liven up their menu, some of which are invasive species here like nutrea or javalinas.

Now if they really wanted serve a carnivore on the menu... maybe they could try coyote. (eww)
