Sunny today..it's my mom's birthday so we are going to dinner tonight for that.

DH and I are going away to the cottage this weekend to celebrate our first anniversary

I am excited!

Long day of waiting today - off in a while to take Mr Jeep to the hospital for minor surgery before it becomes major surgery with pricey replacement parts. Picked up some baling twine somewhere (not mine - this is the wrong colour) and it wrapped around the front boot seal and destroyed the seal clamp. It ain't a huge job - the boot is just fine but that clamp has certainly seen better days. I hate sitting and I hate shopping so it is not going to be a fun day.

Another bright, sunny day.

Our weekend plans? Nothing! Not a thing! (And I'm so excited about that.) Just the normal laundry and housework. That's it. And it's about time.

Morning all!

I am soooo sleepy, and sooo glad it's Friday.

Well the car isn't fixed after all. The exact same problem it has been having came back last night. Whatever happened to reliable mechanics?!? It's ending up costing us a frickin' fortune.

I am so super excited for tomorrow! It's ca-R-ma's (Cat Rescue Maritimes) first annual Walk for Cats at the Irving Nature Park! It'll be a huge fund raiser for us and I can't wait! Dana and I will be in charge of the adoption tent.

It's 843 AM here and I've been up since 630 (though I barely slept last night since my youngest daughters not feeling well). I got my oldest up and off to her "school" program she's doing, my middle woke up and went right back to sleep when I told her to turn off the TV and clean her room, and my youngest slapped the snooze button on the alarm for me this morning so I wouldn't have to and now she's actually asleep.

On a good note, in order to stay up till my oldest left I got my kitchen and dinning room damn near spotless. It's only the first in an insane attempt to make my house look like something out of a magazine before my DH gets home from this deployment in less than 6 weeks!

I can't believe it is already your first anniversary! Seems like yesterday when you were married.

Well, tonight I have my sixth date in 5 days. I don't have anything planned for next week, though. Always hope. Last night's date had to be one of the dullest I have ever had. Tonight's is the 32 year-old youngster who likes older women. That would be me.

Finally figured out how to finish my book. Yeah! Butzie is the main character (children's book).

It took a week for my dentist's office to get my referral to the surgeon (they said they would send it courier), but I got the bill from the dentist in ONE DAY sent by Canada Post, lol!

Sunny here today, too, going to do some stuff in the garden this morning, then my best friend is coming over for tea this afternoon and watching Buffy (we are watching the series and are at the end of season 3

).

Morning, happy Friday!

Gloomy and grey and humid and cool this morning as usual. I'm off soon to do my weekly inspection. I was going to meet some friends for lunch maybe, but then decided not to. Maybe some other time. Well, BF and I will be meeting with our Realtors (yes, RealtorS- our first one fell off a horse and broke ribs and an arm and had surgery and so he got someone else to fill in, but now he's back in action, so we've got both of them. It's cool, they're both pretty good.) to draw up a repair request from the home inspection report. I really really hope this all goes well and no hassles, I really really want this house!!

No plans for tonight, as tomorrow is an early start- we're going Cherry Picking! There's an area about 2 hours north of Long Beach, just above LA heading toward Mojave, with about 10 or so cherry orchards. I want cherries! So we're planning on getting to the one when they ipen at 9, so we can be done and get to a sportsbar somewhere nearby to watch the USA v Ghana World Cup game. I can't wait!

Another hot summer day here so it's very yucky. I just came back from grocery shopping and it was not pleasant outside at all. My shirt was actually wet with perspiration when I got in, oh how I hate the summer

Can't wait till it's over.

We're going to play cards this weekend at a friend's but before then, out to dinner. It's really funny when we go to the Outback, the waiters there think Russ is faking his accent but he's the real deal
