You know, I've come to the point where I'm not even excited to go on vacation anymore! I hate leaving Bella behind. It's very emotional.

What's funny is, she gets SO sassy. I bring my suitcase out, and she sits on top of it or in it, and just glares at me. And when I try to get close to kiss her goodbye, she jumps away. It makes me sad, but it's also so cute to see her personality.

I'm only going away for the weekend this time and I still hate leaving her for even that long!

I know what you mean. I am going away for a week in September and a weekend this July. I put off making any plans because I just didn't want to elave them. The only thing that keeps me sane is knowing how they are when I get back. It like I never even left...the little buggers
I have a really awesome cat sitter. She loves them and finds them to be such a hoot! So I just remember they don't care and that I should just enjoy myself and come back nice and rested and a less stressed Meowmy.

I also know exactly how you feel! I hate leaving my babies at all... Not this weekend but next we're supposed to go camping for 2 nights and even that stresses me out.

Awwww I do know how you feel. I hate doing that to Ku Ku either, especially she's always in a need to be watched for a medical reason.

Every time I take my suitcase out, Ku Ku always sniffs around, then sits on
a top of it. As soon as I open it, she gets in, walks around, and sphinx in it.
I always have to tell her "baby, I know you want to come with meowmy but I'm sorry you can't."

When I start packing, she usually steps out and as soon as I finish packing & close the suitcase, she'd sit on top of it and look at me as if saying "OK, so...are yew leaving mee here again?"...

Wish I could bring her with me when traveling
but I do know that's very stressful to her and cruel than
leaving her at a boarding.

Unfortunately, I don't have a catsitter or know anybody who would do that
for her, I do not have any choice...

I had the hardest time going on vacation this year. Pandora is really bonded to me, she's my little shadow, and I knew she'd have a hard time with me being away. Sure enough, I got home and found little spots of diarrhea everywhere.
I felt so bad!! We might end up taking her with us the next time we go somewhere. She's way more relaxed when she's with me.

Yeah, every year we celebrate 8 days in our religious calendar, and it's like I'm so ready but I HATE leaving Bella! I wish I could take her all over with me. She's such a good girl, and when we moved from Virginia to Georgia she did so well traveling, I was a proud meowmy.

She usually can take good care of herself. I'm the one who's all upset, lol. I usually bring a little Webkinz black cat I received as a present to cuddle with since I can't have my real baby... I forgot it this time! I was so frustrated when I realized, lol.

Does anyone else leave something on for the cats? I like to leave the radio or TV on so there's talking. Does that seem stupid?

Holland is the exact same way. She knows my overnight bag and what it means, and she does NOT like it!! I haven't left her alone for more than two nights since I've had her. I don't know what I'll do if I ever go on an actual vacation...

Not stupid at all!!! I always leave the TV or radio on for Holland if I am gone for more than a few hours.
It's actually a pretty common recommendation to put something on for your cats if they will be alone for a while. You are just being a good meowmy!

Your Holland is beautiful! Love her name, too.
