Sign a political petition? Supreme Court says the public can know.

The case centered on a Washington State referendum on a domestic partnership law. Fear of harassment, the Supreme Court ruled, is not enough to keep petition signers anonymous.

Thank you for the info. I sign online ones sometimes and don't mind in the least if they are made public.

I have no trouble with making the names public. I'm sure most of those petitions are full of Mickey Mouse names. Literally.

Online petitions, by the way, carry no weight with any politician, because they are so notoriously flawed.
