So far so good. I think I figured out Smokie's tummy issue. I think the reason why he started throwing up was because of allergy to the food. He had been eating a mixture before so I would slowly change him to the new food. But occasionally he would throw it up. I just changed him completely as of a few days ago and no throwing up and he's on only one can a day. Half the can in the morning and half at night. So far now throw up yet. So that's good.

I'm going away tonight and tomorrow night, so I guess this will be the test to see if his stomach is ready for all dry or not. I am anxious. I will be leaving at 3pm and won't be back until Saturday morning. I will be home before noon on Saturday though. And to make sure he only gets the new stuff I'm going to have to put him in the bar room so that he can't get at the mixture. I still have like half a 20lb bucket full of the mixture that the other cats have to eat up before I can give them all the new stuff. He won't like it being in that room for almost 2 days but it's for his good. This way when I come back, I know for sure that if there is thrown up food on the floor that it's him and not some of the other cats.

Send some vibes to Smokie to be good on the dry stuff. I'm all nerves right now.

Those that had cats with allergies, if they eat the new dry and don't throw up then it's a good sign and that they should be okay on the new stuff?

When I got back today, Smokie had gotten out of the bar room too. So he had gotten a hold of the other food I didn't want him to eat. Apparently he's a really good jumper because the walls are like 8-9 feet high and there are areas where he can jump to get out but didn't put anything near where he could jump on and jump out. So I'm perplexed and amazed at the same time.

So I can't go anywhere anymore until he's completely switched to dry or he has a place where I can quarantine him and he'll stay. So I still have no idea if he's okay on the new food, but I think if he's eating it during the week and not having problems with it, he should have problems being on it completely.

Goodness! Wonder how he got out of there!? Cats are sooooooooo intelligent sometimes.

I have no advice, as I have no experience in what you're going through really but hope things get better and Smokie is ok, and the food issue gets worked out soon

Cat's are far more intelligent then a lot of us give them credit for. If he wants to get out, he'll find a way. SNEAKY!

I'm kind of going through a food change with my little girl too. Trial and error. Sending some vibes to help Smokie with his stomach issue.

Keep us posted please on his progress.
