I gave up on the Diatomaceous Earth and got pills from my vet for one of the ferals who may have worms - he kept his weight but is getting thinner again.

Now... i didnt think about it until I attempted it... Its a pill and a half. Should I crush them in wet food?

He wasnt interested in eating it tonight so I brought it back inside with the pills still in the food and placed it in my refrigerator till tomorrow.

The pills have "melted" a bit - but that doesnt matter if he eats that food - right??

thanks

Fighting for ferals in NW NJ!
No, that won't matter - but I don't know if he'll eat them. We never could get any of the ferals to eat food with meds in it - until pill pockets came along. We get the salmon flavored ones, because they are REALLY smelly. They get gobbled up no problem, and are easily tossed to the right cat.

How did you get the pills, then? - Vet offices often sell pill pockets. Could you call different vet offices in the morning and ask if they sell them? Sometimes they won't have them right out near the front desk, often they're back with the script foods, treats, dental stuff, etc. Baring that, they may have some in back that they themselves use.

They sell scripts in pill form, thus pill pockets are a very easy sell. Only a dumb vet wouldn't stock them in their clinic.
