Fozzy & Alice...

Well, after much agonizing and advice that I didn't really want to hear, I've decided that, at the very least, I should see if a better home does indeed exist for my kittens.

The chunky dark tiger is spoken for; my friend is indeed taking him, and he will get the most loving home imaginable.

I sat on the couch this morning with both Fozzy and Alice, their tiny sweetness just so innocent, and looked around at my two-bedroom apartment...filled with 7 full-grown cats. People are right...I just don't have the discipline to say, "When". Granted, it was always my intention just to get them out of a dead-end situation, but still...I love them.

Please know...as of right now, unless Mr. or Mrs. Perfect Cat Person crosses my path, this "offer" - god, that sounds bad - is only going out to people on the board. So much love for them was shown on here. I'll deliver/meet halfway, within reason.

If nothing comes of it, at least I'll know that I tried to give them the best home that I could, and I can raise them with a clear conscience.

Thank you.

If you didn't live in Michigan, I would beg you, on hands and knees, for that little one with the white paws! She (is that Alice?) is truly an adorable little baby.

The little black baby is adorable, too, but I love those white paws.

You gave these babies a wonderful start in life. Bless you for taking such good care of them.

I agree with this 100%! You're a great person doing a wonderful thing.

You are such a wonderful person!!

I can never give cats away either...thats why I have so many .

I seem to have some sort of beacon over my house that attracts stray kitties. It breaks my heart not to take them all in, I just have to be satisfied that I give them food, water and attention outside.

Good luck in finding wonderful homes for those cuties .

Keycube - how old are they? Have they been to a vet yet? I dont recall.

I can ask our rescue director if we can take them in. Furry Friends Rescue is based in Brighton; I live in Oakland County.

Right now we have about a dozen kittens in foster.

I personally cannot keep them. I have seven adults right now in a two br townhouse... and I am trying to rehome the one cat who is best as an "only."

The issue with this is there are SOOOOO many cats and kittens out there in harms way, including your home county animal control. I have been tempted to load the car with carriers and go over there. Sigh....

We - and every other foster based, no kill ... are stuffed to the gills with kitties.

They're an estimated 7 weeks this week, and are going next to the vet next week for all of their shots.

It's a weird situation, you know...on the one hand, I don't want them to go...on the other hand, I want them to have the best living situation possible, as well as my older kitties not feeling crowded.

I know there are so many kitties to go around, at the shelters, the humane society...and even if there weren't, it assumes there's a person out there that gives me the right "vibe" for me to let them go home with.

I'll probably have these kitties forever...and I'm totally fine with that ...but it's important that I try to give them something better, if it exists.

You did a wonderful thing by saving these kittens, and you are doing a good thing by trying to place them. I wish you all the luck, and lordy, does Fozzy speak to my heart.

Oh, don't tempt me to do a road trip!!

Actually no, little Fozzy or Alice (i love them both!!) would probably not exactly be happy in a car for 2-3 days.. Best of luck to find them a great home!!

You really are twisting the blade in my heart...

I would love Fozzy. Alice looks super sweet but Fozzy is stealing my heart. Not to mention it is my sister's nickname and a perfect way to get her to agree to another kitty. "But, he is your namesake" I think MA is a bit far from you though...

It is great you are taking the steps to not only give these kittens a good home but think of your "once kittens" health and happiness. They are small now but they do get bigger. It is a very selfless thing you are doing.

If you decide to entertain the idea of looking for homes for them away from this site I think it is a good judge of character to see their vet records. It cost $$ to get copies which will show their seriousness of interest and it will also show you how well they take care of their pets. Not to mention a home visit and personal referances.

Till then keep the great pics coming!
