I need help with something. I've been doing some web-banners for a lady and she would like me to send her a banner for my "design company" which I don't really have. She's my first client! LOL So I need to come up with a name, and apparently my creativity ends at Photoshop.

What I've come up with so far is:

HB Designs

T&O Design (sounds too much like T&A, which I'm NOT designing! LOL For Trent & Ophelia)

Ophelia's Graphics (would be good for banner design, since she is so cute, but then people would think that I am Ophelia)

Any creative names you guys can think of?

What about....

Bast Designs (play on "Best" and incorporating the goddess Bast, goddess of cats)

The Cats Meow Graphics

Do you think that non-cat people would consider using a company with "Cat" in the name?

YAY YAY YAY YAY YAY YAY YAY YAY YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Heidi - how cool is this???????????

I'm so excited for you!!!!!!!!!

I really like two of them so far -

Cats Meow Graphics or just simply Best Banners - although that one kind of limits you to banners, and you'll be doing so much more I'm sure!

I think I'm going with "The Cats Meow Graphics">
Thanks for the ideas Teresa & Christy! You really helped get the creative juices goin.
As far as I can tell, that name is still available (it didn't come up in Google searches and the domain name is still open), and I can put my babies into the promotional banner design.
And for non-cat people, it's just a cliche, and it fits better than "The Cat's Pajamas" LOL

OK, I don't mean to be a pain in the rear about this, but could I get some feedback on the little banners I made today?

(I'm SO nervous about this whole venture!)

Sam, I don't like the fonts much either, but since I'm at work I have very limited fonts to choose from. LOL That's one of the things I'll be changing before they actually go up.

What about using a stark background and a funky frame. If you look at ads in magazines, you'll find very few busy backgrounds with non-serif fonts. It's just a trend...next thing you know busy backgrounds will be hip again, LOL!!

Serif fonts look cool with a stroke or glow and a 50% drop shadows...anything lighter seems unnoticeable...

Customers will "Paws" and look at banners designed by Heidi....that sorta' thing...lol..

That looks really cute Heidi!! Here's another idea if the babies have to be in. What if the kitties were cropped even lower...as if they were peeking out of the ad (like Kilroy) and all you see are their ears and eyes? that would give you even more blue up top where it reads "Custom Banners By"...just a thought! I like yours, too.

Thanks for the suggestions Kim! I'll take everything I can get.
The peeking kitties turned out really cute.

A little more funky...
