Gotta love that man, going after deadbeat dad's and mom's on Father's Day, "Operation Dodging Daddies." Since 1998

I love that man! Now if only there was some way to offer the deadbeats a deal and reduce their punishment or fine if they agreed to be permanently sterilized, I would applaud even louder!!!

I'd be lots more impressed with him if he didn't simply "write off" the bulk of his criminal cases, such as child rape.

I thought that is up to the D.A.

Only if they get the case from the Sheriffs office. The Sheriff's office submits the results of investigations to the DA when the investigation is complete. Joe is apparently clearing as much as 80% of his cases without investigation or arrest using what he calls "exception"...which seems to basically mean "Meh, we're not gonna catch them anyway." These cases include the alleged rapes of several teen girls.

A Sheriff is an elected official, and this fellow looks to me to be simply doing what politicians do. Playing the hot button issues. The Sheriff I worked for did exactly the same thing. But he's not all bad, the child-support round up is a good thing. But not good enough to ignore the rest of his job.
