Egypt allowed at least one Israeli and 11 American warships to pass through the Suez Canal as an Iranian flotilla approaches Gaza. Egypt closed the canal to protect the ships with thousands of soldiers, according to the British-based Arabic language newspaper Al Quds al-Arabi.
Scary stuff. I pray there is nothing dangerous on that Iranian flotilla.

O man. Something is eventually going to happen with Iran. Maybe lets get it over with now. This guy can't snub the world forever....or can he?

And if Iran were to have a nuke, positioning it underwater, near where all those warships are sure to turn up, would be just the place to put it. No missiles or bombers needed at all.

Wouldn't they (us or Israel) be able to tell if there was a nuke onboard? I would think we have the technology to detect sometihing like that, couldn't we?

It depends on the technology of their radiation shielding. The radiation is the detectable variant. The thing is, if they simply want to put a warhead on the ocean floor and not fly it around, they can just encase the thing in about two feet of lead, and that would shield it completely.

Yes, but the hard part would be sorting out natual lead deposits, scrap from shipwrecks and such, and what you were actually looking for. And that's only if you knew to look for it in the first place. If they nuclear mine the straits, they're not likely to tell anyone about it.
