Hi, I recently adopted 2 kitties and we've had them for about 2 months now. My girl Didi is about 12 pounds and Ozzie the boy weighs around 10.5 pounds.
-Each morning we give them about 1/3 cup of dry food.
-We always feed them a can of wet food in the evening (blue wilderness, split in half between each cat) but recently Ozzie has been eating all his wet food (like normal) and Didi has stopped eating it, she won't completely refuse to touch it at this point but she defintely doesn't eat it the same as she did before...She finishes about half of her wet food now. Ozzie will come in and finish her food off now though!
-We took her to the vet a few weeks ago (before this change in her appetite) because she had to have her anal sacs (behind) squeezed because she was rubbing her bottom on the carpet after going poop. The vet squeezed her sacs and then gave her an antibiotic shot + a perscription we give to her (Clavamox 15 ML) twice a day.
Since this vet visit her appetite for wet food has been off. She still eats the dry food religiously though, So i'm not too worried yet. I just wanted to see if anybody had any advice as to why she would suddenly change her like or dislike for Wet Food. Maybe it was the shot (she hates getting shots and visiting the vet) or maybe the antibiotics?
