anyone seen that god after i did i really think i would of clawed that kids eyes out myself if i ever saw him

Kids like that deserve extreme punishment. Makes you wonder what kind of adult would he turn out to be (if he lives that long). The ball should not be dropped on his being charged and prosecuted. A kid like that needs to experience the same equivalent level of violence.

Yes, there was a big, huge thread on here about this... and a petition sent to the prosecuting attorney.

ETA - so the kids never got punished? And they gave the animals BACK to them? I don't know if that post is correct but that is horrible!!

I hope someone's brave enough to break into that house and rescue that poor cat.

I'm not clued up on American law but surely there is higher up that can investigate the relationship between the Sheriff and that family?

I am appalled that the poor cat has been put back there for the cruelty to continue.

I could not watch the video in The Sun - the still picture was harrowing enough. That poor cat looks utterly hopeless and defeated.

The b*****d who did that really needs a taste of his own medicine. Horrid, nasty, vile coward.

Just the type of person I'd LOVE to practice my Karate on

I couldn't watch the videos. But I swear that if I knew where those kids lived I WOULD go there and I WOULD beat the living sh*t out of that kid, he needs to know how that poor cat felt! And I WOULD get those poor animals out of that house!

It is being said that the cats are safe now

We can help Dusty through this
http://www.petitionspot.com/petitions/justicetodusty

Please help him...
I signed the petition and shared it on my facebook

how's Dusty today? Who adopted him?

MysteryCat, thanks for sharing the petition... I actually started that, and sent it to all different autorities that you can possibly imagine from the DA, to the Governor, and even to some stars such as Oprah . I think I sent it when we had 10,000 signatures... But now it is almost at 30,000!

Both cats have been adopted out, and NOT returned to the family. They were adopted after a stay at the vet to get them back to health. Hundreds and hudreds of people offered to adopt them, and the vets were being very careful on choosing the right home... They are safe.

Is there an update on the criminal disposition of the case, if any?

I was not able to find good, reliable information about it... Sadly I am pretty sure that probably nothing happened to them... Their families are high members of their city, both in money and political "status", and somehow everything kept disappearing. Weird situation, but anyway, hard to find information about it.

It's really good to hear that they are really safe.

My son has a habit of being able to find things out even though we live in another country. Don't ask me how he does it - he won't divulge where he manages to get info from

but...

he has it on good authority that the evil little sod is, shall we say, getting his

Should now know how the poor cats felt.

I hope they gave him hell

So glad these poor babies are safe now and I hope they only experience love and kindness for the rest of their lives.

Thank you for letting us know. We would never inquire further - we only pray that God's justice is done

That is HORRIBLE. I cant even watch that video, just seeing the cats face is enough to make me cry and want to hurt those people severely.
I'm glad their was justice. If anyone finds a link to what happened in court or anything, please share it. I'm glad the cat is safe now. That stuff just breaks my heart!

Like my lovely German Shepherd (rescue). His previous owners cut his ears. One is badly deformed where they'd obviously cut it, he must have tried to get away so they sliced about an inch deep and it healed up all wrong

My vet showed me yesterday where they'd cut poor Buddy's ears. They must have muzzled him to do it. I did wonder why, when I put a muzzle on him (I think all dog owners should have muzzles - you never know when you might need to use one, and I like my boys to get used to them just incase), that he peed all over the kitchen floor. It must have awakened terrible memories in him I will have to work with him very slowly on that one. Show him the muzzle, give him a treat until he learns that no-one is going to hurt him. I do know he doesn't like old men with grey hair and he will growl at them so my guess is, it was some wicked old man who did that to him. I will never know as he was imported into this country from Ireland. I do know there was a big cruelty case but I don't know what the outcome was. Perhaps better I don't know because I'd be very tempted to go over there, armed with a big pair of scissors and do to them what they did to my dog.

I shall have to content myself with "what goes around, comes around" and the Rule of Three - whatever you do in life comes back to you three times, good or bad.

For Buddy, the best thing I can do is just love him. He is showing promise for agility so I'm currently looking for an agility club we can join and have fun together.

He is also a cuddle-monster

OMG, that's so sad! Poor doggie. I'm glad he found someone that would never hurt him.
