Kitten teeth

My apologies if this is a stupid question...

We went to the vet 2 weeks ago and the vet stated Lola's teeth (she's 3 months today) look inflammed. That it could be related to her teething.

It is really bothering me that her vet status is "good" and not "excellent" because I try my hardest to make sure Lola is in excellent care.

My question is, should I be brushing her teeth or anything? Cleaning them? Or? The vet wasn't clear. She said it would be fine but still, her teeth had remarks that they were in good shape. So doesn't that mean it does matter?

I'm going to ask again on Monday when we go, but I was just wondering if anyone had experience with this issue as well.

Lola eats dry (Blue Buffalo) mostly, with occassional wet. She doesn't take to wet too much anymore. We have a stock of Science Diet wet though.

I'm not really sure what to do. As I said, I try my hardest with her being in excellent health.

It could be from chewing, she shouldn't lose them till closer to 5 months old.

Go ahead and start brushing. The earlier you start this with a cat the better. Even though her teeth are fine now, it's better to just get in the habit.

4-6 months is usually teething age, she could be starting a little early. If the vet was concerned it was something more than teething he surely would has said so.

Chewing on bones is great for cleaning teeth, introducing them young is often easier too. chicken necks are easy to start with, you can cut them into smaller pieces are hit with a mallet to break it up a bit to start.
