Hiya guys , long time no posting from me ,
Well my cat Lola was found to be pregnant when i took her to be spayed , roughly 6 weeks. 2 weeks later me and my mum popped out , before we left Lola was sleeping in her basket as usual , we were gone 2 hours , when we got in I was busting for the loo so ran upstairs , just as i hopped of the loo I heard screaming , I ran downstairs and on the living room floor was a dead kitten half in the sack on the floor in the next room Lola was sat on a still born kitten half in the sack and a half clean dead looking kitten next to it , I picked up the dead looking kitten whilst Mum got to work double checking on the already dead in sack ones , I rubbed the little mites back and breathed in its mouth and it gurgled then took a breath , very premature looking.
30 Minutes later Lola gave birth again , the kitten was still born , then 10 minutes later she gave birth to a little premmie who i managed to get breathing.
Anyway fast forward 40 minutes later and i am managing to keep these 2 premature kittens alive , Lolas third eye lids have come right accross and she is hissing at her 2 semi alive kittens , we managed to rush her and the 2 little ones to the vets , the vet said Lola had no milk so gave her a injection to boast it along with a injection to shut down her uterus. and a antibiotic injection. The vet said the kittens had little chance or survival but gave me milk and droppers , all night i stayed up and the kittens drank pood and peed with my help then next morning one died.
I have continued with the feedings , stimulating , warming the survior who is 51 hours and 20 minutes old. He has lost 0.2oz but is holding on , he sucks my fingers and loves stretching out. Lola hisses and runs or lunges at her remaining kitten and her milk has not come in. Please pray this little one continues to hold. He weighes 1.6oz at the moment. with little fur . Vet thinks they were 5-7 days early. All together she had 5 and she is not a big cat.
