Ghost has this strange habit. It started when I first got him and he was using my upstairs hallway bath as his hideout.

He would periodically go over to the A/C vent and really sniff sniff sniff... none of the other cats does this. He still does it.. and not just when the AC kicks on, but while it's running. He doesn't do it with the heat, just the AC. Wonder what is so interesting about the processed air?

My Old English sheepdog would always lay down right on top of the air conditioning vent. She knew exactly where it was since she continued to do so without issue even once she went blind. I guess she enjoyed the cold air it put out, even when she was shaved down, which she was 3 times every summer.

He prolly likes the way it feels. I know when Attitude still lived outside she had a vet appointment and in the carrier she was a perfect angel and she dug the air conditioning.

It might be why dogs love to stick their heads out the car window, they love the feeling.

My dog does that in the car with the air vent. I think they like the coldness, and perhaps even the smell of it, I'm sure it is different then normal air in smell.

I think that is also why they love sticking their heads out the window as well as the way it feels, they like the smells.
