Cat flap training tips needed

Not for me, I don't believe in cats roaming outside, but my friend does.

I've trained cats to a flap before, actually a flap, tunnel and flap on the other end, (but not to outside, rather to the litter box room, long ago in another life) However I'd like to go over to her house armed with as many suggestions as possible to help her.

I don't normally bump up my own threads, but I am going over to my friend's tomorrow and was hoping to bring some good ideas with me.

I'm always bragging to her about TCS and she asked me specifically if anyone in "my forum" could offer ideas.
