Morning peeps!

Well, it's Friday!!
I loooooooooove the weekend.

DH is gone again this weekend to a retreat with his schoolmates. I am not pleased with him right now because last night was our last night together before he leaves, and he watched the game instead of cuddling with me
Ugh.

Off to work in a bite...jean day and pay day!

I have a bbq with friends tonight, and then tomorrow a good friend is coming for a sleepover shopping visit!
Can't wait!

You all have a good day and weekend!

Hello ALL!!

Its going to be a hot and humid day with severe storms moing in this afternoon.

Yesterday we spent a pleasant and $$$ day dring a couple hours south to the Madison,WI area plant shopping. Picked up about 30 perennials (most are unusual) at The Flower Factory. Its the midwest largest perennial nursery and an annual visit for us. Then a unusual Japanese White Pine at another place. A 30 miles road trip to the last stop (www.landofthegiantshostafarm.com). What an impressive place 1500 varieties of hosta on about 2 shaded acres-lots and lots of great plants. Still had room in car so we picked up a few more.
Now to figure out where to place all our purchases!

Off to work shortly. Cats are crabby as they are confined inside due to upcoming weather.

have a good one!!

Morning,

I was supposed to be traveling today, but that got pushed back, so I'm at work instead. I got up early and came in about an hour earlier than normal so that I can leave early this afternoon. The drive in is much more pleasant at that hour, or at least it is during the Summer. When school is in it doesn't make much of a difference. I'm going to hit the gym after work and then go pick up some medicine for Tre from the pharmacy. They close at 6, which is why I want to leave early so that I have plenty of time to get over there. I'll stay in this evening most likely. This weekend I've got a date on Saturday night and then I'm going to spend Sunday with my parents. I hope everyone has a good weekend.

Morning everyone!

It is a GORGEOUS day here today and it's supposed to be a decent weekend as well.
We won't be venturing far though as the car is on the blink and we can't get it in until Monday... Blah. I'm just hoping it won't cost us a small fortune.

We plan to stop at the liquer store on the way home for some beverages and hope to have a nice, relaxing weekend!

Morning!

Gail, would you consider posting some pictures of your yard? With all the work you put into your gardens, I bet it's so pretty.

Not too much going on here this weekend. We're going to visit with friends on Saturday for dinner and for a campfire afterward. They found a big hollow log, so we'll get a nice fire going and then place the log on the coals. And sit and watch the fire while we're chatting. It will be relaxing after a busy week.

Sunday will be spent with my parents for Fathers Day. We all going to their place and we're doing the cooking. Nothing fancy, just some burgers, brats, and dogs. I'm making my pasta salad, crock pot beans, and a lemonade cake. The guys are going to grill and we'll all picnic outside. Dad won't be able to stay out very long as it's supposed to be hot, but he loves being able to have a small picnic. (I take after him; he can take the heat better than he can the cold.)

Other than that, it's just standard house and yard work.

Have a good Friday and a great weekend!

Morning, Happy Friday! June Gloom is back this morning... that's ok.

Well BF took the day off work today, for World Cup games.. oh yeah and our home inspection this afternoon.
The brewpub downtown opened at 6:45AM for the USA-Slovenia game, and he got up to go. I just couldn't get out of bed that early for a soccer game. They're doing it again on Wednesday, maybe I'll go then. I got up at 7:51 when he texted me that USA was down 2-0. So I figured I better at least watch the rest of the game on the couch with Genever snuggled up with me. Ended up in a draw 2-2, with a bad decision by the referee to disallow a USA goal. Bad ref! Oh well. So the bar was supposed to close again at 9AM but here it is 9:45 and he's not home yet, haha. Maybe they decided to stay open.

So yes, that's my day so far. I have to pick up some things at Rite Aid at some point, and that's about it. No plans for the weekend yet, but either this weekend or next weekend we're going to go cherry picking, there's an area of cherry orchards about 2 hours north of LB, and I want to go get some!

Well have a great weekend everyone!

Today's a day off for me, and I'm getting ready to shower and go shopping for the last of my interview clothes-- on Tuesday I fly to Boston for an interview for an MA in Children's Literature. I couldn't be more excited/scared, it's basically my dream program, though is pretty expensive so I'm also petrified I'll get in but won't be able to afford it. But today I'm headed out to get a nice shirt/cardigan to go with my gray pants/blue pumps. We'll see how this goes!

I'm also hoping to get some time in the sun to get some of these scrub tanlines out (UGH). And I need to email some professors to make sure they write my recommendations in time. I've got two grad school applications out, so I'm a little anxious.
