More Government Control?? - Page 2

I can't help but wonder why, with so many of us who know the solution to all these world problems, we aren't running the government. It is certainly discouraging to see all these educated men in the government not seeing how easily all these problems could be solved when it's so obvious to all the rest of us.

Here in America we are allowed to criticize our elected officials. And no one will even call it "hate speech" and arrest you. Imagine that.

Doubtful, or we would have heard about it.
I think there was a summit.

My best guess as to what has been happening (or not happening) is that each and every "solution" has something veru ugly about it. ALL the choices are rotten and it's a matter of picking what history will show to be the least rotten.

Did you all miss the news yesterday? I realize Barack kept us all distracted with the McChrystal thing but there was some Gulf news and it was NOT good.

1. Government stopped the Berm building.

2. BP's robot had an accident and they had to remove the plug on the well.

I saw that. The Berm building one was actually funny, in a sad kind of way. The Government stopped it because the Berm builders were taking the material to build them from the erosion zones of the very island they insisted they had to protect. They could have at least made it look like they had a motive beyond making a fortune building berms.

Actually I wasn't referring to "criticism" per se, I just wondered why those elected officials aren't knocking on our doors and asking some of us how to solve these problems since we all seem to agree the solutions are so very simple.

Politicians don't like simple, it MUST be terribly complicated so they can hide stuff in it. If it ain't complicated well then it must not be from the government.
