I decided yesterday I was going to be in shape for the beach. But the bad thing is I only have a few weeks before I leave so I am cracking down and working my bum off! (Although I dont need to loose a lot so I think I can do it)
But overall I just want a healthier lifestyle for me and the beau! And I thought it would be awesome to have some support on here as well as support others doing the same! I know there are threads like this from before but figured it would be nice to start fresh!
If you want post as much or as little info as you want! Try to updated how you are doing meeting your goals and help encourage others to do the same! Good luck to you all!

awesome! I need to find a decent greenway for rollerblading! The one I walked on today was a very rough pavement! Although I did find out that there is a dog park 2 minutes from our house! Good thing to know for a few months down the road!

Good morning! So far I have yet to drag my bum out of bed, (The Beau is in China so I have been staying up very odd hours to get to talk to him, not fun) but this morning I believe I am going to drink a smoothie and eat some toast, and then probably do a workout video. Zumba is tonight, hoping to make it but I kind of hurt already today! But I want to at least go to that and if I'm still hurting skip the walk afterwards or at least cut it down!
What are your healthy plans for the day?

I just joined a fitness forum today to get my butt motivated and in shape!

Goal:
Tone my abs and upper body (shoulders and arms)
Eat healthier
Look like a sexy toned lady when the Mustang comes!!

I attempted a run today, but in the 95º heat with a 110º heat index, it didn't last very long before my heart felt like it would explode out of my chest! I'm hoping to get my hands on the P90X soon, as well as continue with the healthier diet. Hubby and I bought a lot of healthy foods on a list made by a personal trainer on the fitness board, so hopefully we'll see progress.

In the snow!!!!
My foot is just getting to the point where I can do more exercise. I already eat healthy so I am upping my activity level.

I bellydance once a week and practice multiple times during the week.
I kick a soccer ball around with hubby
I also try to do a lot more walking.

so jealous! I want to learn to belly dance! I havent found any classes I can afford yet! I hate being broke! Do you enjoy it?

Today I have a feeling I wont be doing to good. I know we are going to be doing a lot of walking today because I am going to be doing some portfolio pictures but I will probably not being doing too good with eating healthy! Oh well! I am excited for tomorrow because I will be doing Operation Bootcamp so we will see how well that ends! I may be too sore to move for the rest of the day! LOL!
But on the bright side my legs will be getting a workout today since I will be wearing mostly heels!

Good luck guys!

I'm training for a half-marathon in October, so I've been trying to run but the heat is just awful! Today I'm going over to a few gyms to look at membership prices so that hopefully I'll be able to go there when I get off of work instead of just coming home and plopping in front of the tv or going on walks.

I need a butt kickin' with the P90X. My friend did it for awhile but she wants to move up to the Intensity because P90X made her arm muscles too large lol. I feel like if I have it, I'll do some exercising though since someone on the screen will tell me what to do!
Hoping to get back into my pole fitness at home as a cardio workout also.

Had some pasta with ground turkey for dinner, it was different but good. Never bought ground turkey before. I also have felt more energized by eating a scrambled egg and bagel in the AM.

Guess I'm going to have to dust off some of my Beach Body videos. It's getting far too hot to run. I could get up at 5:00 AM, but I am soooo not a morning person.

I've run in the Ragnar Relay the last three years, which means I generally run from about September through February. I intended to keep running for at least a couple of months after the race this year, but it didn't happen.

I've not tried P90X, but I did P90 for a short time. I found that I was bulking up instead of slimming down so quit about half way through. Of course, I was doing it right after I finished a round of SI6, which is much more intense. Anyway, I find that I do better with the Slim Series than the P90 series.

I have to admit I usually skip the yoga parts and just do stretching instead.

capt_jordi, you need to be careful that you don't starve yourself. You need a good balanced diet with enough calories to keep you going. If you cut back too much your body will start doing weird things like burning off muscle instead of fat.

Oh trust me, I am not starving myself lol! I havent been eating well today because I've had Wendy's and cookies, and pizza! Ooops! I usually eat semi healthy but some days (like today) I just grab whats quick and easy. Plus I was out with friends who are not as keen on eating healthy lol

I am hopefully going to a free workout tomorrow morning called operation bootcamp. That is if I get my bum out of bed! I've been on the wrong time zone trying to get to talk to Gary some so I have been staying up very late and then sleeping very late. But I think I'm gonna go on to bed right now in hopes I can wake up!

went to the workout yesterday morning. Good god!
I thought I was sore last night, I got out of bed this morning and almost fell over! My legs are so freaking sore! Oh well! No pain no gain right?

Today I think I may go to the pool and swim some, but not sure yet. Maybe go for a hike with some friends later on!

I walked around a lot on Monday and did some light exercise but nothing too bad, and then not much at all today. Havent felt too great! And tomorrow I'm planning on walking around the town in 4 inch heels! I'm sure that will help the calf muscles!

Ugh I've still been lazy
A few friends got together for pole workout, but they decided to let me know this morning after hubby and i already carpooled
they were meeting at 6pm and that's when i meet him to pick him up from work 30+ miles from where they were.

I know I havent met my caloric intake today I'm sure, even though I've basically eaten a bunch of crap for food! I need to start working on my muscles.

Well, I am just in a maintenance mode. I weigh what I want and I work out daily, doing different things. Doctor says my iron is a little low so I should eat...PEAS? Could be worse.

Mmm buttery peas
takes out a bit of the healthy part though huh....

Its Zumba night tonight! Yay! I am excited! And then probably home and doing some pilates before crashing on the couch!

I went and put in my resume to a few places downtown today which meant walking about 4-5 blocks in 4 inch wedge heels! LOL! Man do my calves burn!

I am actually a certified Zumba instructor but really don't want to teach. Too much drama for me.

Today is core and stretch and then a restorative yoga class which is really guided meditation. So great! Probably will swim today as well and then have a date tonight. I am going to wear stiletto heels so my calves will be a talking to me! I walk to the restaurant where the date is. My apt. complex is next door. Haha!
