What breed is my beautiful fluffy cat?

I have been told that he a is a Norwegian Forest cat - he looks like on and acts like one.
I checked out a site and here it says:
" Norwegian Forest Cats love people and thrive on human company. They do not like to be left alone for any length of time and are very demanding of affection. They are used to an outdoor life and are well adapted to roam outside but they can be very happy as indoor cats provided they have plenty of room to move about. They are very intelligent and can be very rewarding companions as they are extremely friendly and playful."

That is my cat to a T.
He has thick, glossy fur with a fuzzy, wooley undercoat. His tail is beautifully silky and thick. He has chunky, muscular legs, and very stocky.

Here are a few pics (I apologise that they aren't all full length front view pics, but he's hard to take pics of!) :

Bear in mind that the last one was taken a split second before he meowed.

If he isn't a wegie, any suggestions are welcome (:
Thanks in advance (:

I know I'm supposed to say that without papers he's a moogie but I like to speculate. Looks and sounds Raggamuffinish to me.

Where did you get him from?

I have a domestic long haired cat that looks almost exactly like him, but mine was a stray I picked up as a kitten. I'm positive mine has no purebred background, he just ended up looking that way through natural selection.

Thanks for the reply (:

I adopted him from an old lady who lived on a farm in the countryside. He was only about 5 weeks old. He was the only kitten left, and the lady couldn't look after him.
Obviously, at the time I didn't think to ask.
But I also read that wegies are known to be used on farms to get rid of vermin.

What a very beautiful, fluffy cat indeed .

I'm going to say that he is just a very lovely black and white bicolor domestic long-hair. Typically, unless the cat was born to pedigreed parents, they are just moggies -- otherwise known as your typical domestic cat (either long or short-haired). I suppose, in some instances, if one parent was pedigreed, it would be safe to say that they were half of whatever that parent was. But, since you don't have knowledge of his lineage, and since most farm cats are, indeed, moggies, you have an adorable DLH.

Now, please, don't think what I am saying is that your kitty isn't special. He most certainly is a special boy. But, breed-wise, he's none of the above (though he may very well exhibit physical and behavioral patterns resembling that of a particular breed of cat).

What's the handsome boy's name, anyway? Oh, and, please, more pics!

There is no good picture, from front...

But I dont get the impression of a typical NCO.

They have usual a quite triangular, relatively prolonged face...

He may have some NCO (Nor"wegie") in him, but is not cleacut á la NCO. No.

Otherwise he is surely both nice and handsome in all other ways.

Congrats!

There are not that many Wegie breeders out there, so chances of him being one or even part one are very slim. I never go by personality and only in general in looks.

He is a lovely black & white bicolor domestic longhair cat. You've taken good care of him.

Awww. He's gorgeous! He looks like my Larry! (Click on his picture next to my name.....not my avatar, but on the other side )

Larry was a street cat, and said to have some Maine Coon in him, but no one knows for sure. But he's also fluffy and black and white with a great personality. You've got yourself a gorgeous kitty - then again, I'm partial!
