I just got home yesterday from house sitting for a friend. It is amazing the things these kittens started doing while we were there, a few of them veeeeery bad!
First, while they were hyper before we left, they left curtains, chairs, furniture out of their play. If they wanted on the bed, they climbed the scratching post. Now, they looove to climb curtains. I had to take them down at the friends house so they didn't break them. They climb up chairs, beds, anything they can find. They are nuts.
Second, they always looked curious about what was past the door, but always stayed in their room. Not anymore. Ringo has begun hiding under the nightstand beside the door, and bolting as fast as he can when the door opens. He wants to explore! Sadly, that isn't an option till I find a way to doggie proof their food and litter boxes. Until then, we play catch the kitten any time we want in or out of the bedroom!
Finally, they used to sleep at night, all night. They would curl up with us, and be there in the morning. Not anymore. they still curl up with us (in the most uncomfortable manner for us!) but that ends after a few hours. Now at night, you can hear them playing follow the leader. It is accented by many bangs, smashes, and clatters, that convinces you the room will be in shambles when you awake. Somehow, it is not, but goodness, they are scary at night!
I guess they are truly kittens now. Even their little sister is crazy! Luckily, they have learned to not use their claws on us (now we have to work on those teeth!) and even when they want to climb up, they keep them in. It makes me ooooh so happy!
