2 years ago today...

2 years ago today, Dana brought me out back on the deck of my old apartment, pulled a single red rose from behind his back, and asked me to be his. How could I resist? He moved in within a month. Everyone said we were crazy, that where we work together AND live together, we would quickly get sick of each other.
I had gone through so much in my life...a large weight loss, a failed marriage, bouts of health problems, family problems, etc. I never in my wildest dreams ever thought I could find a love so pure and all encompassing. I now completely understand what true love means.
Dana is quite literally my perfect other half. He is so incredibly supportive of everything I do, especially with the cat rescue portion of my life. This place is always full of kitties and he obviously loves them just as much as I do. If I'm tired he'll give me a shoulder/foot rub without me even asking. We enjoy so many of the same things, camping, hiking, walking, movies, adventures, etc. We have enough differences to still keep things interesting however. We just have FUN together. He is strong, handsome, hard working, loving... I just can't believe what a lucky girl I am. I love him more and more everyday...

Thanks for sharing. Women who have a mate that loves them like you describe are truly blessed. I have that in my husband. We have had that for thirty two wonderful years and I wish all women could be loved like that by their husbands or boyfriends.

That is so wonderful People think its crazy that my hubby and I are still all lovey dovey (its been 5.5 years, most people I know are past that stage in 1-2). I moved in with him 6 months after we met, and everyone thought it would crash and burn. We even worked together for awhile.

I hope you two have many many more happy years together!!

Me and my husband Ken have been together 24 years, over half my life and we are still as happy and close (if not closer) as ever, with our never ending furry friends to keep us company
